    Hello Again for Northwest Marine

Mark, Thanks for the update, great to hear that new C-dory units are on their way to anxious owners. As for your focus on building better boats, quality will always trump an improved marketing technique. We appreciate the improved quality of our 23V.

Venture 23 (C Dory) Hot Water Heater?

I Installed a Nautic Boiler (Quick makes them). My goal was to keep every appliance 700 watts or less. This water heater is 25 L, round, 600w draw, 316 stainless tank (well insulated). It heats in about 1 hour and holds heat for many hours without power. We had our boat built with the sink...

    Smart Tabs SX

Smart Tabs worked extremely well on our 17' Arima and the company offers great support. On a boat over 20', Hydraulic or electric would be a better choice. For use on a 16' C-Dory, the Smart Tabs would perform well and are easy to install (watch torque on the mounting screws).

    New Marinaut Finally Home

Without a doubt, the 215 Marinaut is the best looking of all of the C-Dorys and their cousins (IMHO). My wife agrees (at least on this point). The Marinaut has very pleasing lines with it's design form following intended function (great handling small boat design).

    What color are my hatches?

Mike, I believe that your hatch is a Bomar G7812 in an off white color. Call Ryan or NMI to make sure of the color. If you decide to replace your hatch with the same Bomar, you might try installing it so that it swings inward toward the splash well (less strain on the hinges IMHO).

    cat repellant

Harvey, Charlie said it all. I used moth balls wrapped in a paper towel to keep cats and other curious creatures out of our boat. The moth balls were so effective that cats even ceased marking the tires and wheels on the boat trailer. Simple, effective, and safe (all of the moth balls...

    cat repellant

Moth balls wrapped in a paper towel and placed on the deck of your Dory will keep the cat, dog and other animal populations away.

    Used Wallas Price?

The price you set will depend on if you want to sell it or just have it for sale. I mention this only because that model stove is marginal for heating needs even in a 22 or 23V. Scan Marine suggested that a two burner unit (DT) would be a much better selection. A friend of ours removed an 800...

Three Reasons To Use The Camper Back While Underway

Rich, From your video, Betty Ann seems to ride nicely with minimal spray. The test Marinaut that Helen and I ran with Les, had a very impressive ride and handling characteristics. We had the pleasure of viewing Betty Ann in the fit and finish stage at Les's shop. I examined it carefully and...

    Nordic Tug furloughs workforce

I agree with Jim B. in that "we don't know their business plan" and "it's their choice". My hope is that we can embrace the high standard of build quality in the Wright built boats and that we encourage potential new buyers to contact a dealer who will help them configure a C-Dory order to...

    Nordic Tug furloughs workforce

Slow the roll on this one. I think that some of us are becoming to enamored with our own words and thoughts. Yes, we are customers and loyal supporters of the c-dory line but I venture to say that none of us has actually contacted the Wrights to discuss our noble ideas on how to grow the...

    Nordic Tug furloughs workforce

Sorry to disagree with some here but our experience with the Wrights has included first rate customer service after the sale[/color]. We had two issues with our boat and each was handled promptly with transportation from Portland to the factory and return provided by Sportcraft and Ron Wright...
