Also repaced the entire fuel sender setup from one select gauge to individual meters.

Finally replaced the overhead big CRT Furuno 1720 with a 1623. Not a big performance difference but much better helm visibility

Toothpick dispenser LED light setup idea. Took TP screw on dispenser. Drilled cover center. Placed 1/2" thick starboard circle in to fit inside clear part with 3/4 recess for bulb base.

    Raymarine Autopilot

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjknq1cfn0Y If the ocean doesn't make you seasick, this flick still might! I do not find the noise level of the s1000 at all objectionable and do not know if perhaps earlier models had higher noise levels?

No, galvanized. If I'd moved the stupid ladder you could haveeen both. Sorry.

    Get~Aweigh Trailer Mis-Hap

In this photo I actually added 2 keel rollers. After adding a cross member underneath up front, I could not find a keel roller tall enough to reach the keel and added a 4x4 piece of PT lumber to get the height needed for a firm synch. Some of the poor gel coat repairs in the white are still...

    Baystar Hydraulic Steering Installation

I have Seastar on an 87 22 Angler. The prefab hydro hose length is clearly marked 20' and there is no loop (just about a 12-18" bend at the end) which is sufficient for cylinder travel. My helm is surface mount and was plug and play except that it did not cover a couple of old screw holes that I...

It's also great if you have, or can add, a keel roller up at the front end of the trailer so you have a solid point to tighten your turnbuckle/strap/ratchet against so there is no chance of front end bounce. All of this is, of course, even more important if you have a roller trailer or bunk...

    Get~Aweigh Trailer Mis-Hap

I put a heavy duty folding handle heavy equipment binder chain on my trailer. My front end is not going anywhere so long as the bow eye is in tact. It has an 7100# working load (ie 35500 break strength). Its been there a year and I love it. There's a lot more detail and pictures in my album...

    Wavebox Micro

Thank you Roger, not very encouraging responses. I have a 700w cheapo micro that does a reasonably decent job on sandwiches, soups and re-heats. But it requires a 2000W inverter that by itself must be 25-30# to run it. I thought 660W is not that different. I also have an EU1000i Honda gen, but...

    Wavebox Micro

Does anyone have experience with the application of one of these on a CD? Apparently you can use them several ways including just clamping to a 12V battery. I know it probably has a big battery drain but if you have a large house supply and a big dedicated alternator, it would seem to...

    22 Cabin Floor Vulnerability Solutions?

I have (4) 3x3 lock together red rubber industrial (restaraunt kitchen type) anti fatigue mats in the cockpit area that a former owner put in many years ago. It is very comfortable even on bare feet. It is grease proof, non slip reasonably cool in the sun and provides great impact cushioning...
