You can fool some people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time!... PS maybe the test was done with twin Yamaha 2005 EFI , than maybe I would believe!..... or maybe they where testing the boat down stream?

Which Trailer if you'd have another chance?

You're right about that EZ-Loader . When I bought my 2005 EZ- Loader , 4000pds tamden 102'' . I had nothing but trouble, I got my dealer to take it back and order me a new welded galvanized trailer . I just love this new trailer, it is a bunk trailer with two 11' boards , 4000pds, this time I...

    Singles versus Twins

Thank Chris, it is quite the fishing machine . I took it out finally in August for my first big fishing trip . This boat takes a little to get use too, but I am slowly getting there . Trolling for salmon, the boat was almost flawless. Fished with my bud (chocolate lab TIA ) half the time, the...

    C-Dory Competition?

No question in my mind that CC is a great boat! It will appeal to many people , the changes that have been made are very well thoughtout. If I had to do it all over again, I would be a basket case in trying to choose which one to buy. Having said that again, some of you out there might fool some...

    Singles versus Twins

New technology is amazing. Yamaha mid range engines have a speed control switch that allow you to bring your trolling speed down to 600 rpm up to 900 rpm 50 rpm at each touch of the switch, all day long without harming the engine . Just like Chrysler 300 big block V8 shout down half of there...

    C-Dory Competition?

I have no doubt in my mind that the CC is a very well improved boat, lets get serious here look who designed it. When I built my first house it was a very good house, but when I built my second house it was a lot better house!..... A C-Dory to me, has to be a very great compromise. I can load it...

    Singles versus Twins

Hi Stuberg, remember if you listen to me or any body else about what is good or bad, you will get so confused you won't know which way to go. Look at the price of a large engine, maybe a kicker also, what do they cost? Add bells and whistles to your kicker . Than the same kicker as to take you...

    C-Dory Competition?

Stuberg, my point is that every boats have a sweet spot , and I am sure that the new Cape will have one too. I really like what I see in this new clone design, I don't see why C- Dory could not take advantage of this great designer and copy some of is ideas? They automobile industries does it ...

    C-Dory Competition?

Stuburg, I don't know where you do your boating , but where I am from water conditions can change in a matter of minutes. In all the boats that I have driven, I don't know of one of them that did not pound at one time or an other. All depends how you handle the boat and read the water. Some...

    C-Dory Competition?

After seeing that new boat , I personally be more worry about the resale value of my 2005 C-Dory in the near future. Just look at the front of this Cape Cruiser , it is different than the C-Dory . Just remember who created that new boat? I am very interrested on trying one .Gary SeaRam

    C-Dory Handling

Well said Fred , one thing that I find with my new C-Dory is that I am more daring than all my other boats that I use to own in that same size. When it use to be rough we did not bother going , so you are right I just get to get more educated about all different sea conditions. I was suppose to...

    C-Dory Handling

Hi George , I too have the Bennett trim tabs on my 22',and would not be without them. But I think I understand what you mean by being scary at times. Lot more experience brat will jump in and try to help you. Here my theory about those little tabs, if your cruising at let say 12 to 14 knt just...

    New TomCat 25

15 Years ago I saw my first C-Dory in the water of Vancouver Island, I new than that one day I would own one. Well 2 1/2 years ago I discovered this site , downloaded some pictures , than put them on the wall of my shop. 2 years later I order me one of these fantastic 22' C-Dory. Now is my...

    Securing Boat On Trailer

Always wonder if that would be the way to tie my boat ,with strap around the top at the stern . It seems so much easier and practical, but travelling on logging roads or bumpy road would the strap wear the gel coat eventually? Gary

Engine hp and Maximum mph at maximum throttle (WOT)

Now that you have the attention of a few see brats , it might really be helpful for some of the C Brats that are still looking to match their prop (s) , to know all of that, plus type of engines, HP , max rpm, top speed. So if we had problems matching prop(s) to our C-Dory it might be easier...

GPH average on 2005 EFI engines

Rogerbum that is what my fuel gauge is telling me . I cruise at avarage 14 to 17 mph, at $5.17 Can. I find those speeds to be adequate where we live in the gulf Islands. You also have to remember that those 100 hrs are not all cruising , they are idling, trolling, site seeing, more fishing. Gary

Well when I will have about 3000 or so hours on this great C-Dory I might be able to let you know what my choice would be . But for know I running 3 blades factory aluminum, next set probably will try Ring Prop if they do work. It will be nice if the don't well, I will sadly be out of about...
