  3. Built Galley Storage Out of African Mahogany and finished with Spar Varnish. Pooped out on building the rest of it and just bought some plastic stuff from West Marine. Works well, just doesn't look as good.

    07/07 - 07/08 - PWS Round 3 - Billy's Hole, AK

Catdogcat- 2nd page post by tpbrady, 2nd from the bottom reads: "After extensive consultations with the Fairbanks contingent and a very difficult and drawn out negotiation, we have come up with a tentative proposal. The meeting day will be July 7, the location will be Billy's Hole in Long Bay...

    07/07 - 07/08 - PWS Round 3 - Billy's Hole, AK

I calculate fuel consumption in the following manner, without the use of a fuel flow device. I perform the same procedure every time I go out. Erroneous fuel consumption can alert you to many potential problems early on and potentially prevent excessive damage to motor/hull. Top off the...

    07/07 - 07/08 - PWS Round 3 - Billy's Hole, AK

I consistently average 4.6 miles/gallon with twin forties and an "average" load. We have been going from Whittier to Montague - 70 miles each way 3 weeks in a row now with no problem and approximately 1/3 to 1/4 fuel left in each tank. I think that 50 miles should be well within your range...

    Transducer Relocation

I just bought Bennett M-120 trim tabs and will be installing them in short order. I am doing this mainly based on the comments supporting trim tabs from other C-Brats in this forum, so Bennett should be thankful to C-Brats! I will need to relocate the transducer for my fishfinder in order...

    Boat Penetrations

Unfortunately, the person that I bought my boat from did not install the wires penetrating the boat in a manner that satisfies me. So, now I need to fix it. The radar and GPS wires penetrate the ceiling of the boat behind the anchor light and are secured by.......silicone blobs! In addition...

    Anchor light / Radar Interference

When installed, my anchor light sits directly in front of my Furuno radar. Does anyone know if this is a concern? Will it interfere with the radar signature, thus reducing the accuracy of the radar image. This would be a concern to me when travelling in fog. Thanks, Ben

    2003 22 Cruiser, $45,000 (Seattle Area)

I have shipped boats from Seattle to Alaska using Northland Services. Obviously, you would want it on a trailer. I have used other barge services, however I feel Northland to be the most professional. They have regular barge services coming up. I have contacts there that can help you out, so...

    Table Leg Problem

Thanks for all the generous advice guys! I called the factory and they are going to send me out the new setup, including the tubular leg and the new sliding hinges. The factory rep says that the new setup works great. To my suprise the stainless sliding hinges and the locking hinge will cost...

    Table Leg Problem

How's it going fellow people with the best choice in boats. I was wondering if any of you have an idea where I may be able to get a replacement table leg for my 2000 22' C-Dory. It is one of the only components on the boat that I am dissapointed in. It is made of what I believe to be is a...

Tom- This was my brother-in-law Sam's Reply: "I think far away is best. Remember when the Titanic sank and everyone was nervous about all the people climbing on the life boats and overloading them....Wouldn’t want a bunch of C-Dorkies clinging to my Sea Sport if they all sank at once." I...

    07/07 - 07/08 - PWS Round 3 - Billy's Hole, AK

We will be there this year. Last year we left Whittier to go to the gathering, but had carbuerator problems out of the shoot. Had to stay in Suprise Cove instead. But this year, we are there. One other thing, I frequently boat with my brother-in-law in his 22 foot Sea Sport and my other...

    Farewell little Valkyrie

Very, very sorry to hear of your loss. I have a lab and a boxer and they are truly my best friends. I can truly appreciate your sorrow and know how hard it is, we just had to put down our 11 year old boxer last year due to cancer. Just know that your buddy is in a better place now and is not...

    Influence of C-Brats

I bought my C-Dory after finding C-Brats and all of the great information on the site. I may have never purchased my C-Dory if it wasn't for this website. I sure hope that the C-Dory factory realizes this fact.
