    Do I really need Radar?

In the 22 years I've had Adeline I've really needed radar perhaps 5 times total. 3 of those times have been at the Columbia River Mouth. Once in the San Juans. Once between Port Orchard & Bremerton. In 4 of these instances I was able to fall in behind a boat that DID have radar. The 1 time I...

Congratulations M&M, I may be a little biased but I've always thought that an '89 was the one to get. Ever since I bought mine in...er...'89. I also tip my hat to Matt for facilitating and a shout out to John Klevins for helping the owners find Serena a new home.

    Why do we boat?

And here's the C-Dory difference... When I pulled away from the dock in my old boat, a Montauk, I was constantly aware that I HAD to be back at the ramp by dusk to retrieve...along with everyone else. The ramp at dusk is HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH. Once I got a "campable boat" I left those...

World power swings back to America

Solar is simply not a viable replacement up here in the Pacific Northwest..and other areas. Hydro was big here until... When it comes to energy, there is no free lunch. I guess some would have us shivering in the dark or paying through the nose to repressive regimes. Pick yer poison.

Need advice for installing refrigerator in 22

One thought about chest vs upright designs. When the door of an upright is opened the cold air inside tumbles out creating a slight negative pressure that draws in warm air at the top. On a chest type the cold air stays in place more readily.
