Many thanks to Tom and Joyce, Becky and Bill, and all who made the gathering such a fun experience. Skimmer's crew hated to leave 80s in FL and return to 30s and snow in the forecast here in VA. Next year we'll plan to stay south longer and continue to explore the wonderful St Johns.

Let me add my congratulations and welcome board to the others you're getting. We hope to meet you at some NC or Lower Chesapeake event soon. LOVE that CD-25.

Also not a cruising guide, but a fun read is Bill Belleville's River of Lakes. It covers much of the same ground as does McCarthy, but is more detailed and more "literary." Looking forward to seeing everyone in "the real Florida."

Skimmer has this inexpensive rack installed in the overhead: http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product ... em&i=29987 It is off-center to port and the butts of 5.5' trolling rods and 6.5' spinning rods extend forward into the space over the shelf. The head door clears all rods. Sorry, no pix.
