    Permatrims for TomCats

Permatrims are the Bomb!!! When I first got our Tomcat, I was bothered by the feeling that it didn't sit level in the water underway. The bow up attitude was tough to over come when running in a chop. you could fix the out of level feel but it required a pretty radical difference of the trim...

    Portable Air Conditioner

Thanks Bob, When I get my choice narrowed down, there will probably be suggestions from the manu. regarding the amount of flow needed that will dictate the pump and the filter ...maybe. I got some good feed back on installation equip and brands(Mermaid got alot of kudos) at the other...

    Portable Air Conditioner

Thankyou Joe. They did a great job on the install. Is the Pump below the water line. Excuse my ignorance, but do the regular C-Dory's sit that low in the water?

Thanks Joe. If Bob doesn't scare me off, I'll probably give it a try.

    Portable Air Conditioner

Thanks for your thoughts Bob. I seem to remember you mentioning clogged strainers before.....is the dent in my forehead noticable? My wife is the one that started this, but the more I thought about it the better its getting to sound. I was hoping the frigidare unit would fit in the...

    Portable Air Conditioner

Thanks for the reply. I've located a Pioneer unit that pushes 5000btu's at River Marine for $900(I have to check again and see if this is everthing or if the pump etc. is extra). I'm going thru the other choices now. The King-Air seems to be the most compact. When I got to googling I found alot...

    Portable Air Conditioner

Oh what to do, what to do. With the addition of the radar arch and rodholder atop the Katie Kat, the roof is no longer a viable option for an AC. After traipsing about town and finding the Fridgidare 5000 btu unit, I've discovered that I don't have a window big enough for the unit to slip into(...

PENSACOLA FL BOAT SHOW 20-22 APRIL 2007

Wefings had a great line up at the show. They were a nice change from the usual CC's and bay boats that we see so much of around here. C-Dory was well represented. It was good to meet Pat and to see Marc again. A very professional job gentlemen. :thup

    The Cat

Kerry, My wife and I have the TC24 with 90 Hondas also like (Fishbob). Do to a multitude of reasons, we were finally able to get back on the water Sunday(after a long time). The Permatrims are a huge plus. They do a great job of pushing the bow down when running in short chop. The ability to...

    Tomcat

Yes. The big difference is in the weight limit for the motors. The 255 has brackets(larger cockpit) and allows for power up to 300 hp. The max hp for the 24 with 4 strokes was 230(?). The factory originally recommended twin 90's. The 255 also has a bubble in the tunnel roof to help with hull...

    Thataway

Use the compressed ball to your advantage. If opening the fuel fill doesn't help, loosen fittings or take hoses loose one at a time, starting as close to the tank as possible, and when you get to the vacuum side of the restriction the bulb should inflate again. if you can isolate it this way it...

    Thataway

Bob, Have you tried cracking open the fuel fill when under way, to see if the bulb will open up? It might help to determine if you have a vent obstruction or something in the line.

Need help From 24 TomCat EZLoader Owners

I've got a Tragic Tilt. I know your request was brand specific, so I measured from the midpoint between the front and back axles to a perpendicular line with the rearward most part of the transom. Its 8' 4 1/2"s. This should give you some reference as far as the weight fore or aft of the axles...

Off Road Diesel in a C-Ranger?

All I've got is an opinion. The only people who will probably want to stick your tank would be DOT. If you transport your own fuel to the boat, I wouldn't worry about it.

    Undocking Technique

Spring line. Just like whats been mentioned. The boat will pivot from the point the line is connected to on the dock(piling etc.). As soon as your clear, let go of the end of the line not tied off to the boat. Pull the line back around whatever you were using for a pivot on the dock, and bring...

window fogging and shallow water alarms

I've thought about rigging a fishfinder/depth sounder with the transducer on a pole that would clamp to the bow rail. We have alot of skinny water here on the coast. When moving into these areas exploring or fishing, something at the front of the boat seems like a good idea. It wouldn't have to...

    Freshwater Tank Smell

The RV department at Wally World has a water purefier in a little bottle that can be used as well as the annual or semi annual flush as suggested by "Anna Leigh". Use per directions. Without tracing your lines to verify the plumbing, theres not much else to do. If the plumbing was mixed up, I...

    TOMCATS: So, whatcha do . . .

I think there may be at least one more 24 in the Pcola area based on conversations with the dealer we purchased our boat from. I don't think it was your neighbor, but I'm not sure. It'd be nice to know where folks are. Post on "The Brat Map" at the top of the page if you get time. :thup As long...

    Flying Fish?

In the book Kon Tiki, whoever was making breakfast on the raft would make a tour of the deck, and collect the ones that ended up on the raft during the night. I've never seen one up close.
