    50 Amp thermal breaker

Had a like problem. Every time I pounded hard the house power went out, then it would come back on the next time I hit a wave. Checked it with a volt meter and had 4 volts across the panel's buss. No problem with motor's power. Looking at the 50amp fuse I had some crud around one connector and...

    FINALLY!!!!

Welcome to C-Brats and the C-Dory life. I (have not yet converted my wife, but will when the ocean is calmer in August) am new to my boat Sea-Cruz and the brats have been invaluable as a resource. Have only had her out a few times since I just bought her in April. We needed a little time...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Thanks Dave, this is the first trailer boat I have had and I thought I might have done something wrong as I thought I was at the roller at the bottom of the ramp. Next time I will just winch it up after getting to the top of the ramp. And yes, I had a great time! I had to give up sailing 5...

    Auto pilot Choices

Just got back from maiden cruise on Sea-Cruz. It has the same Raymarine autopilot and I loved it. Amazing to watch the pilot steer the motor correcting for every swell without ever missing a beat. Watching the motor, you can see how tiring it would be to stay so alert and make so many hundreds...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Took Sea-Cruz for her maiden voyage. Beautiful day on Monterey Bay at least "on the inside." Decided to see how she would do on the "outside." Outside the seas were 5.6 feet at 7 seconds from the NW with S-SW wind waves of 1-2 feet. Sea-Cruz loved it but she was different than the Columbia 24 I...

  9. Moving to open ocean. 5.6 foot 7 second seas coming up soon. Sea-Cruz was great but it did go bang a lot. No time for pictures. World of difference between "inside" and "outside" on Monterey Bay

    Is AIS in the house?

Just tried the AIS for iPhone application Ship Finder that the Curlew crew mentioned. For either free or with full tracking etc. for $4.99 you sure get a heck of a AIS application. Not many ships in Monterey Bay(certainly not enough to spend hundreds of dollars for a AIS receiver) but I was...

    Boat name decals

I just put Sea-Cruz's name on in 6 1/2 inch letters from BoatUS. Photo in my sub-album (untitled) and I am happy with the result. It may be a little large for some tastes on a 22 Angler but I wanted the visibility from a distance.

    NEW NAME ?

Finally christened Sea-Cruz. I was going with C-Cruz but several people(non-brats) did not get it and the wife said go with Sea. So there we are. I went to Wikipedia for a ceremony and came up with this Babylonia one from the 3rd milllennium: Openings to the water I stopped; I...
