    Scary fishing story

wc I saw that show you are talking about. It turned out if the fish farms did their harvest just before the fingerlings spawned then there were no sea lice. This happened once, the next time the fish farms were right back at it. They ignored the fingerlings, and the sea lice were back. She...

    Trailer "disolved" after 23 yrs.

Jack Just to give you more confidence in what you bought, my brother has a 1973 18' Hourston on a single axle Roadrunner trailer. The boat and trailer where used mostly in the salt chuck for its first 25 years, but now is used mostly in freshwater. It is a great trailer. Jimbo

    Bennett Trim Tab Installation

I'm just getting ready to install my Bennett trim tabs and have read that it is very important to keep the hydralic lines the same length. I have a 1981 "hunky dory" so I can install the pump on either side of my engine well which will have one line at about 24" and the other line at about 48"...

    C-Dory Hull Permeabilty

My 1981 Hunky Dory had spent a lot of time in the salt chuck before I got it and had antifouling paint on it. There is a bit of spongeeness(word??) where the bottom of the hull meets the transom and I will have to eventually rebuild the transom. but for 25 years old, it's doing good. Jimbo

    Canadians buying C-Dorys...

Ron; I have purchased a Cdory from the States and although it was used and a private deal, you still pay GST and PST on the boat at the border. You also pay the PST on the trailer when you register it. If the Cdory dealer I am thinking you are talking about is in Langley BC, then don't hold your...

    Hull extension

Billy; I like the concept. How have you determined the mounting height of your engine? Do you just match what is existing based on your added bouency or is there a magic formula to determine the height? I've got a 1981 22' classic with a smaller motor well and think that I will eventually just...

    Evinrude E-Tec vs Mercury OptiMax

I ran a 2003 150 Optimax on my 18 Searay and thought it was a great motor. It started good, ran quiet, and only burned 2.5 gal per hour. The only downside was the cost of Optimax oil, $65.00 for 5 litres and we used about 20 litres per season. We just finished our Van boat show and I quizzed the...

    @#$%#%%$ thieves

Starcrafttom The guys that were caught never had to pay back anything because they never got away and they never ratted on their buddies that did and stripped the boats. Why did they pull the plug? I guess they figured if they couldn't steal the rest of the boat, then try to destroy it.. I agree...
