Run the hole saw in reverse for the initial cut. It breaks the surface without causing a crack. Then just go slow.

When I did this a few years back, I had to adjust the baud rate on the GPS to a low setting in order to make it work. It was 4800 I believe. YMMV

I think I heard that stepping into an open hatch is the number one cause of boat owners insurance claims. I stepped into the open fish box on the TomCat and dropped a brand new camera overboard! Be careful out there.

In the PNW, it's cool enough on the water to need partial or full canvas to make a flybridge useable. We had our Krogen 39 5 years and probably used the flybridge for cruising 4-5 times. If you enclose it in canvas, you're back inside!

I had both pumps fail early on, I think due to freezing. Rather than replace them I disconnected the hoses and let the fishboxes drain into the bilge where the bilge pumps did their thing. I used the boxes for storage only however so there was no shells, fish guts etc. draining out. This worked...

Nice thought Pat! We're 5th wheeling to Port Townsend and meeting the C-Renity crew there. No more Sea Trials for us I'm afraid.
