    Tow vehicle question

Bob, I do not recall rpms exactly but they did not seem to be out of line, I do have a feel for the type of performance that should be standard, because I have always had a truck and pulled a boat and camper for the better part thirty years. The strange part of this issue is that the only...

Ok Brats, help is needed again, can someone on this site offer some help with a tow problem? The long and short of it is, I have a 1995 f250 supercab 4x4 with a 460 as my tow vehicle, the truck has 90,000 miles on it and should be able to handle my 22' dory and a 9 1/2' camper at the same time...

    Honda 90: fast idle question

Just a thought here, normally the engine idles at a higher rpm when run out of water with the muffs on then when in the water. If I remember correctly the the factor is about 1/3. The stated numbers do seem a little high I would expect to see about 1200 to 1300 if every thing was working...

Where's a good online store for King Trailer parts?

Smittypaddler, I had the same problem with a bracket on my King trailer and I took it to a local welding shop and they re welded the bracket and it has worked fine since I had the work done. I think it was about sixty dollars to have the work done. Regards, Dan McNally.

    1989 90 horse two stroke

Charlie, It set the temp alarm off because there was not enough water volume to cool the engine properly. Apparently the volume that was escaping because of the improper fit was just enough to set off the alarm. I ran it several times today to see if it would happen again and it was just...

    1989 90 horse two stroke

C-Brats, I did a little checking this morning and found that the cup of the earmuff was bent slightly and the water flow was impeded, I adjusted that and all is right once again. Thank you for the responses, Dan.

    1989 90 horse two stroke

It is not an oil sensor because the alarm is continuous, and the engine is non oil injected I mix the oil when I add the fuel. The fuel has been setting for a season and may have separated. I will take a look with a manual and see if I can find an answer tomorrow. Thank you for the responses...

    Engine size for C-D 16

Marc, I can speak to this issue as I have two boats equipped differently, one with a two stroke, and one with a four stroke. Both are great power choices and preform the same task, propel the boat, with that said it becomes a mater of choice. I have used two strokes for twenty five years and...

Water intrusion on 2005 22' cruiser

Flapbreaker, The clamshell is a stainless cover on the port side bow just above the water line, the inspection port is in the vee-berth under the porti potty. Remove the gourmet from the floor and press on the foam, if it is wet the water will come to the top with finger pressure. It sounds like...

Water intrusion on 2005 22' cruiser

Dave S, Went to the boat today and reamed out the foam at the inspection port, then I extracted two and one half gallons of saltwater from under the vee-berth area. I then went on a search for the hole at the clamshell and hull an anchor rode area, I pulled the clamshell for a better look and...
