    Freshwater Tank Smell

    If you have a hot water heater installed, it can build up hydrogen gas when it hasn't been used for a while. My 5th wheel used to do the same thing. I always made sure the pilots were off and flushed the hot water system for a while before firing it up.

    The reason I haven't installed autopilot on my boat yet is because I'll probably switch to hydraulic steering when the time comes to replace the cables.

    Well we got Lucky's schedule and it looks like we won't be able to make it to Catalina during the gathering. That's a real shame because we've had such good times during the last three Catalina Adventures. Perhaps we might be able to get a few boats together at Catalina for an "unofficial"...

    Hi Steve - The neck has healed up about as good as it's gonna get I guess. I originaly bought my boat from Three Rivers Marine in Florida and had it shipped to California. The cost was roughly a buck a mile ($2300). These days there's no telling what it would cost. Very preliminary research...

    I have been watching this thread from the sidelines and now I've just got to ask. Does anyone know if it's cost effective to transport a boat by rail from the west coast to the east coast? I was considering the possability of shipping the boat by rail to Miami. The expense of the round trip...
