When I bought my used C-Dory my AV plate was below the bottom of the boat, it was mounted in the top hole I raised the engine two holes, what a difference in the performance of the boat. I used a movable engine hoist and a special eye bolt that screwed into the top of the engine. Hope this helps.

Never thought about the Port Townsend lifts I considered them more of a maintenance yards. I am going to be getting a new trailer in the next year and I was interested in that option So I called them and they will lift your boat of the trailer for 7 dollars a foot one way.

I think I would remove the rubber insert on the rail and take a look at the condition of the rivets. If you have a few leaky rivets you most likely have some that are not far behind. Insert is fairly easy to place back in. I soaked the rubber in warm water before placing it back into the...
