Kicker motor mount for 22 Cruiser

On my boat I got rid of the garelick and replaced it with a mini jack plate. The motor only drags when I first am getting on plane. I have a Honda 9.9 long shaft

    AV Plate Height

When I bought my used C-Dory my AV plate was below the bottom of the boat, it was mounted in the top hole I raised the engine two holes, what a difference in the performance of the boat. I used a movable engine hoist and a special eye bolt that screwed into the top of the engine. Hope this helps.

    Another Kicker Question

Thank you! I will move it to the starboard side and move at least one of the batteries to the port Lazerette.

    Another Kicker Question

My boat came with a 9.9 kicker mounted on a Garelick bracket port side and 2 batteries in the starboard lazarette. I have removed the bracket and purchased a Mini Jack. The problem is if I mount it back on the port side, the tiller will hit the side of the splashwell. I see pictures in the...

    Broughton Archipelago

We stayed at Alder bay a couple of summers ago and can’t say enough good things about them. If you are leaving your truck I believe you would be parked right in front of where the managers live. Boat ramp was good enough that I launched with my truck camper on. Telegraph cove was nice to just a...

Hood Canal/Puget Sound Marina with Lift and Parking

I know of no sling launches on Hood Canal. There used to be one at Seabeck but was removed several years ago. The closest would be Edmonds or as Bob says launch in Lake Washington. I live 5 minutes from Salisbury Point boat launch that is right next to the bridge you are more than welcome to...

    Leak or condensation?

I think I would remove the rubber insert on the rail and take a look at the condition of the rivets. If you have a few leaky rivets you most likely have some that are not far behind. Insert is fairly easy to place back in. I soaked the rubber in warm water before placing it back into the...
