    Trailer Advice Please!

I have a bunk trailer. I don't worry about getting the boat centered when loading. If it's off-center, (almost always is) I carry a 6 foot long 2x4, that I use to lever the stern to center. Easy-peasy. I couldn't do that with a roller trailer. jd

    My NOAA Charts App

Sorry, my bad, in my previous post I meant to say MXMariner, not OpenCpn as being an Android app. Right now, I have a $12 adapter that plugs into the OBD port for my pickup that links via bluetooth to a $10 android app that displays all my engine/transmission metrics on my tablet in realtime...

    My NOAA Charts App

I agree with Boris. And OpenCPN is another FREE app very similar to the NOAA app, with a bit more functionality built in. Very useful for a backup chartplotter or at-home planning. In time these will out-compete the Navionics of the world (and force their prices down) and will incorporate...

    Securing to a buoy

I run a line through the buoy eye and run the two ends each outside the forward rail uprights and secure back to the bow cleat behind the anchor .. Easy to release since both ends are on board. jd

Repowering - OB Dealer Recommendations in PNW?

    hull thickness

I think that we've read so many horror stories about core intrusion, that we all try to avoid drilling holes in the hull whenever possible. My strategy is to glue a piece of 1/2" or 3/4" plywood to the hull with 3M 5200 and drive screws into that. jd

    Questions for canvas maker

4 machine screws attach my SS frame to the boat. I remove all the sunbrella panels and then remove the screws and the SS frame. I store the frame in my outside storage shed, the sunbrella in my workshop. I have a sunbrella cover for the boat that keeps the weather off when I'm not using it. It...

Android Apps for Weather, Navigation, or other boat things

The Navionics app is my go-to backup chartplotter app that I use in in similar way as Rogerbum. I also like MX Mariner which uses NOAA raster charts. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles as Navionics but is perfectly adequate for Puget Sound and San Juans, and is cheaper. NOAA has one of...

What's your definition of "PISSED OFF"?!?!?!

Tanner is (or used to be) one of the OEM suppliers for C-dory. I had them make my radar arch a couple years ago and (Tanner) Mark did come out and take lots of measurements. The finished product was perfect, though I did have to enlarge one of the radar mounting holes slightly. It surprises me...

    Build quality

Thanks everyone for your input. Having owned my 22 for a while now, I'm aware of the C-Dory idiosyncrasies. What I'm mainly wondering is if, in the last few months of production before Triton took over, the quality of the builds deteriorated noticeably. I seem to recall some discussions...

    Build quality

2009 model to be specific. Also, since Mark brought it up, would love to hear pros/cons of wood cabinets versus the molded fiberglass. For those of you who like to modify the interiors, would the fiberglass be a deal-breaker? jd

    Build quality

Hi, my name is John and I have two-foot-itis. Working hard to fight this illness but the Admiral isn't helping any. That extra room and shower/head combo look mighty nice, she says. I have a question: what's the general feeling about the build quality of the boats built by C-Dory Marine Group...
