phosphoric acid is the answer. I've used it on my boats for years to remove the stains from dirty water and rust stains. Just spray some on and lets it sit for five min and wash it off. Stain gone. The expensive version is Ospho(sp). I can get a whole gal from a local guy $9. I've seen it...

One suggestion. Place a quick disconnect close to the motor. I have had mine jam the rode so hard that I had to lift the windless to be able to pry it loose. Being able to disconnect the power wire helps. Roger
