I have seen reports about slow speed. I have not had a problem. I think if you have a good gps signal is the answer. I troll at about 5mph and have no problems. Most of my 4,000 miles has been at 6 to 7 mph. I have gone 10- 15 miles and never touched the the wheel. Roger
