My career as a wannabe is over -- I finally bought my boat

Congratulations on the new to you C-Dory. I have owned mine for a year and a half and dream of spending much more time cruising all over the Puget Sound, Inside Passage, and the PNW. People on this site are beyond awesome and will help you with any questions you might have regarding your new...

    Baja 2025

Hi Clay, I just checked out that ramp today. It has been years since I have launched out of Lake River. I figured if the Columbia was still litered with Seals and Sea Lions maybe the Multnomah Channel or the Willamette would be a better option. I cannot believe the size of Ridgefield...

    Baja 2025

Hi Clay, Great pictures "Hammerhead" looks most awesome in the clear blue water. Not sure about the toes in a few of the pictures (LOL)! Hope you had a great time, and the boat did well with no damage from the terrible roads. Been looking for you on the Columbia River. So...

    Keep trailer or sell it?

Hi Ed, Congratulations on your new purchase. There are C-Brat gatherings and many places to see around the Puget Sound and San Juan Islands. It is much easier to trailer your boat then motor up north or down south. Trailers are not cheap and sometimes on back order. It is a tough...

Windless help for a 22’ Cruiser

Thanks to everyone for all your advice. I do have a new question. I am looking at the Maxwell HRC7FF. It is a horizontal with free fall. Is the horizontal as good as a vertical?

    Aluminum ... A-dory?

Not to sound like an idiot but aluminum is lighter than fiberglass then why would a 22’ Jasper boat need 300hp? Maybe it goes 50+ mpmph I would like to see it down at the Columbia River bar going thru less than stellar weather like the FaCdory test team in the 22’ cruiser.

    WTB a cdory 😭

There is a really good video of the Factory Guys out on the Columbia River bar looks like out of Ilwaco. They show big waves motoring in a 22’ Cruiser. If you have not been across the bar you will appreciate how quick things go to heck in a handbag and how the C-Dory design will get you thru...

Windless help for a 22’ Cruiser

Hi. Colby, That is great advice and very much appreciated. I hope clay has the 700 non fisherman model. I want to Hogline once in a while for Spring and fall runs. I also plan on cruising up the inside passage. The sign in I saw in Ketchikan, AK saying “Salmon Capital of the World”...
