Yes, great advice. I will also need to clean 35 years of mold... I have some king starboard that I cold epoxy in as tabs to keep the tanks from sliding. Are your tanks also strapped down?

Thanks for the insights. I wasn't sure if they served a purpose other than looks. Saltwater does splash on the gas tanks and fuel lines when I am diving. I rinse with fresh water after every outing but I worry the extra water from diving will cause corrosion.

I am looking for advice on what material to use to cover the gas tanks and bilge. I have a 1987 22 cruiser. I know the newer boats have this already. How are they attached? Pictures would be helpful. It would be great to keep that area drier when diving.
