Karl, you can just run a bluetooth gps reciever with your Ipad. We run a holux m1200 on Chack Chack linked by bluetooth to our laptop. We just keep the gps reciever on the dash held in place with some double sided tape. You can get a holux m-1200 for $42 on Amazon Eric
