Thanks Dr. Bob, I was on the vagabundos webstite a few months ago and there was an announcement that the organization was undergoing some changes and it sounded to me like they were not functional any longer. Since they have a paid service I sent an email to inquire about the stability of the...

Another Gas Tank Cleat Srew Hole Repair Post

If that area is all that you intend to repair I would just cut it out and re core and re glass. It's mostly under the tanks so you wont really see the patch job. Its a small area so not too big of a job. Could be done in less time that drying it. 1) Seems reasonable to me, might take a while...

Tips, Tools and Tricks for undercutting balsa core

    Help with antique evinrude

Thanks everybody for the replies. I haven’t checked compression, but it feels and sounds like it has good compression, but I haven’t put a gauge on it yet. I think I may need to take apart the carburetors, but I was really hoping I wouldn’t have to. The previous owner said that he had the carbs...

    Help with antique evinrude

Any experts on old outboards on here? My son and I are trying to get a 1968 evinrude starflite 100hp going and having a time with it. He is 16 and this is his first boat. It’s a 1968 reinell, 17 ft and in very nice shape. Very neat boat. When we got it there was no spark. We replaced the entire...
