    question without judgement

Regarding the Striper, I had an 18 footer walkaround once, with a 150 Johnson. I really liked that boat. Things I liked on it; standing at the helm, the cockpit jumpseats that came with it, the 50 gallon tank under the flat deck. Things I didn't like, the decal of a swordfish and the word...

    Get the Yamaha

Well, I too have quite a substantial hear loss. Mine is attributed to my time as a sight-setter in a 5 inch gun turret, stationed right between the two guns. I'm grateful for the VA provided hearing aids and batteries. Anyway, in 2014 I bought the cheapest 4x4 Jeep on the market. For some...

I believe the factory is now located in Bellingham. Also, there is a dealer, Master Marine, just down the road in Mt. Vernon. https://www.c-dory.com/contact/. Good luck. and welcome to the C-Brats.

Thoughts on ordering a new C-Dory

Well, you're right (correct) that both configurations have two seats. Also, the hulls are the same. Having owned both a cruiser and an angler 16 footer I can say that they are significantly different in many ways. size of the cabin, placement of the cabin on the hull and the consequent different...

    C-Dory 16 Angler: ideas for a 3rd seat?

That removable Garelick seat should work just fine. We had the removable Garelick steps on our 16s. They used the same holders as the seat. Also, in this application no bolt was required just simple stainless sheet metal screws.

    C-Dory 16 Angler: ideas for a 3rd seat?

Well, here's what we did for a third passenger seat on our angler. We had a portapotti in a bracket right behind the driver's seat. We covered it with a Sunbrella cover with a nice cushion on top .It moved the weight forward and covered the "can".

    C dory for sale

The price is fine. Take somebody who knows boats, motors and trailers with you when you go to look at it. If necessary pay a surveyor, but do it fast. If that boat is seaworthy it will sell fast.

    Assist help

I was just about to suggest the same thing. Go to Alaska from Seattle. It's safe, affordable, the food is good, you'll probably see some whales, and may even win at bingo. Take care of yourself.
