Great day on the boat today! Watched three gray whales for over an hour north of Gedney Island slowly making their way south. Then had our first C-Dory sighting on the way back when we saw "Pegasus", a 22', fishing! I am about to look for her on this site!

Don't rule out a Toyota Tacoma 4 door, unless you are considering only SUVs. I love my Tacoma, rated at 6500#, and it tows my Venture 23' easily.

CDory23, I have a 23 Venture with a 115 Suzuki main and a Suzuki 9.9 high thrust kicker like you asked about. I don't have the kicker broken in yet, so am not supposed to get it past 3000 RPM. Of course since I don't have a tach on the kicker, I don't know the RPMs and am just guessing anyway...
