    Happy Thanksgiving To All

This year I am so thankful for my newly-found C-Brats friends and "C-Glory", our "new to us" C-Dory! Jay and Glo Johnson Oak Harbor, WA

    AIS Transmitter / Transponder

Where do you guys "hide" your anchor lights? Do you remove or lay them down except when required? I don't see them on either of your boats in the photos above.

I love the tremendous amount of information contained within the members of the C-Brats community. Hope I live long enough to contribute some useful tid-bit to someone one day! Back to researching tools that should be carried aboard.

    Which heater?

After examining the boat, which I picked up yesterday, and looking for the optimal space to install a Wallas 1300, I have decided to go with the Wallas stove/heater combination. The Kenyon Kiss Cook Top isn't worth much, but I managed to get $150 trade in for it. I have also heard that it is...

    Lake Pleasant, Arizona

If you don't mind going into Mexico, you might consider going down to Puerto Peñasco translation Rocky Port, or as we Gringos call it Rocky Point. It's on the Gulf of California and offers a much larger body of water to cruise!

I use my Samsung Smart Phone for a GPS on my Harley. The mounting bracket was $19.00 on E-Bay. It works great and I can keep it charged with a 12V charger. I have used it on my bicycle too, but can't keep it charged! :)

    Which heater?

I am going with a Wallas 1300. Hope it displays all the positives mentioned here and none of the negatives. :)

    Boat Shelter Revival

One of those wouldn't have lasted two seconds at my place this week. I am thankful my house is in tact. My neighbor is having his roof repaired and a BBQ grill came visiting from somewhere in the neighborhood. Yeah, a full size, steel, outdoor grill!

    Tomcat anchor

I noticed that the Venture 23' typically has a Rocna (I think) anchor. I first noticed it is on my recently acquired boat and then on "Pacific Wander" by observing photographs. Anyone have opinions of the "new generation" anchors?

    Which heater?

It is all your fault I am buying a boat. It was that nice ride you and "Retriever" took Gloria and me on! :) Planning to pick it up next Tuesday. The weather is not conducive to trailing this week, plus Gloria has me otherwise engaged! If you had a 22' or 23' C-Dory with a stove burner but...

    Which heater?

Sounds like he has the "Cozy Cabin" mounted in a cabinet with the door removed, or should I say a "locker" with the "hatch" removed? :)

    Why the high price?

I drove down from Oak Harbor and looked at that boat. It is loaded and pretty clean. It has down riggers, 4 marine batteries, arch with Rocket Launchers, flat screen, internet, etc. It is listed for $59,999 on Craigslist, and he offered it for $55,000 in person. GPS is dated and ready for...

    Glass cleaner

I have had good luck with Kleer-Vu for my motorcycle related glass/plastic. I use it for goggles, face shield and windshield. It has good anti-fog properties, which improve with multiple applications over time. http://www.kleervu.com/

    Which heater?

Below is a quote from an avid fisherman who prefer's a propane heater: "My experience with diesel furnace type heaters is that they are noisy, power hungry, very expensive and fussy with too many moving parts." Have times changed? Maybe he hasn't tried one recently...?

    Which heater?

I found an older thread. I'll keep looking. I found Joe's Cozy Cabin. Nice, but it looks very big!

    Which heater?

My boat has a butane stove burner but no heater. If it were the other way around - no big deal. I can eat cold sandwiches in a warm cabin, but shivering while eating a warm bowl of stew, not so much! I see boats with Wallas, Webasco, Espar, etc. but no Sig Marine Cozy Cabins. A friend who...
