    CD22 Removing Starboard read window

OK, I got the window out, without breaking the glass. Step 1. Remove the outer frame inside the boat. This was held in by about 16 screws. Step 2. Remove the outer gasket on the outside of the window in the cockpit. Mine came out pretty easily with no tears or issues. Step 3. Remove the...

    CD22 Removing Starboard read window

Being in Central Texas, I have decided I need A/C in the cabin. I have decided to install a window unit, very similar to what Tex has done with Bixby’s Cub. (For several reasons, I do NOT want to cut a hole in the roof. Radar, already using that roof space, etc, etc). I have removed the inner...

    Kicker setup on 22

Like many others, I mounted my 6HP Suzuki on a jack plate, so the long shaft would clear the trim tabs. I have a rod connection I can add so I can steer from inside, but I don't have control cables, so I have to adjust speed from the cockpit.

Got My CPAP - First Experiences

Just as a point of reference. I went up to the mountains of Colorado last fall hunting, with a c-pap (no heated tube, no humidifier) running on a 12-volt marine deep cycle battery. I was curious to see how many nights it would last. I was then 7 nights and never had to recharge the battery...

Got My CPAP - First Experiences

Pat, been using a CPAP for about a year. It has made a big difference in my sleep! I was NOT looking forward to using a CPAP at all, but it has been wonderful. I think you will like it as well. Cleaning is not a big deal. I rinse the hose and clean the basin maybe once a week, with hot...

How Far Did You Travel To Buy Your C-Dory?

I didn’t travel for my boat. However, I bought it sight unseen about 2000 miles away, hired a marine surveyor to look at the boat, and then had it shipped to my home. I was going to go there myself, but family things made that impossible, so I had it shipped from Portland, OR to Central Texas...

    Need help with prospective purchase

Good advice above, but I will add, after using marine surveyors (and I used several when buying "Saint Somewhere") I would not buy a boat without having is marine surveyed. Yes, they are expensive, but $500 kept me from buying a $40,000 headache, so I believe this to be a good investment. They...

    SOLD - 2003 C Dory Cabin Cruiser 30K OBO

Looks like a nice, clean boat you have there. With the arch and the radar, you should sell it fairly quickly, I would think. Many folks here really like the twin motors for their boats. Best of luck in the sell!

Daydream Tucked into Garage for the Season

Pat, I got both knees done about 4 years ago. It was the BEST thing I have done in years. I got them both done at the same time, and was back at work in 6 weeks. Every day I was able to do something I couldn’t do the day before. Yes, it is a long road, but very, very rewarding. Best of...

Got the name and Graphics on "Saint Somewhere"

Harvey, I have enjoyed reading about your "big enough boat" very much! B--C, Good eye on the Parrot. Actually, there is a story behind everything. I flew a pirate flag on my Hobie Cat when I was racing those sailboats, aboard the "Mikey Likes It". The name, "Saint Somewhere" is inspired by...
