    14' Dory up for sale.

With regret I am offering my 14'er for sale. Have came to the hard understanding after 3 or 4 outings that it is not the best boat for my family and I. Send me an email if interested. Adam.

    props cd16 angler w/df40 suzuki

I own a 14' and have recently inquired about similar issues. I come from a 17' Edson bow rider. The c-dory is more of a bow up boat and the consensus is that 20 mph is a good cruising speed. At higher speeds one experience bow shear or bow steering. My opinion is that you could try more of a...

What to expect from c-dory hull?

Thanks everyone for the advice. A lot of knowledgable, and thoughtful people on here. Will be using caution as I figure out the ins and outs of the new boat. Cheers

What to expect from c-dory hull?

I went with a 35hp on the boat because that was the max rated for the boat. At about 165lb it is the same weight as most 4 stroke 30hp outboards which are common on the 14' Dory's. Now that I'm armed with some information about how the hull should ride and "APPROPRIATE SPEEDS" :smilep for said...

What to expect from c-dory hull?

Thanks everyone for offering advice. I think I'm expecting something that isn't possible with a c-dory style hull. (And not in a bad way). I was trying to get the bow down like a flatter style speedboat. I'll have it out again soon and try to bring the bow up. And at mid range on the throttle...

What to expect from c-dory hull?

Hi everyone. Took my 14' out on the water today. Noticed something that I'm sure other people have experienced and could enlighten me on. -35hp Johnson with hydrofoil- -cavitation plate is even with bottom of hull- I found that at speed (28mph) that when i went to make a slow turn the boat...

    Thru-hull depth sounder transducer

I've recently bought a new to me Lowrance LCX-15mt sounder/gps for my boat. I was hoping to mount the transducer on the inside of the boat and epoxy it to the hull. Lowrance has said it will work through 1/2" of fiberglass without any issues. I was wondering if anyone new what the hull...

    Actual Photos for CD14

This is my first C-Dory and haven't seen a 16' before. From what I understand the pilot house on the 16 is a lot larger both in height and width. From what I've read on the site I would say the two molds are completely different. I'll try to take a photo of myself in the boat and it might give...

Good fishing around Vancouver island and BC coast.

Yes. Reservations for sure. If it's at all worth while camping it will require a reservation. Thanks. I'll look into both those areas. Cheers. Adam

Good fishing around Vancouver island and BC coast.

Trying to plan a family camping trip and I want to include some day fishing trips in fairly protected waters. We were planing to go to vancouver island. Does anyone know of any spots that offer great camping as well as easy access to fishing and touring areas?
