I'm not sure about the 250, Tom. The DS400 has a 3.5" screen, DS500 has a 5" screen and the DS600 has a 6" screen. That's about all I know for the newer models. I think they all work about the same.

Very good point, Tom. Also pay attention to your torque values when tightening the lower unit screws and oil drain plug. I have a bad habit of over tightening bolts and screws and paying for it later. Today I purchased a torque wrench and it's amazing how little torque you need on these under...

What's your favorite brand of lube for lubing your outboard lower end unit? Currently I'm using Mercury high performance lube, but I would like to know if there's better. Thanks, Jon
