    New members' intro

Welcome to the C-Brats Don and Mary. Hey Dave S., good memory. I worked for L.A Co. Fire Dept. fighting brush fires in the 70's. Most of the time we would respond from the water dropping helicopters. Man those were the days! Nurse R. is around here somewhere. I'll see if I can get her on...

    Boarded by the Coast Guard

At least 6 times in the Strait Of Juan De Fuca over the past 18 years. Last summer was the most recent. Three young men in a "supersized" Sea Doo tied up to our boat and put us thru the test. (Piece of cake). Their backup was about a 100' Cutter (Guns mounted forward and aft) floating close by.

    Bow Hatches

It's time to install a bow hatch. I think we're the only boat in the fleet without one. Any recommendations on what make and model bow hatch to purchase?

    Wanted - Cockpit Canvas Details

Fred had his camperback done at King Marine, I think? Fred, was "Little Buddy" a 1984 Angler? I don't think they kept the patterns from Fred's angler and the installation was a little different than mine. Pat, you might find some more pics under "Little Buddy" or the "Anita Marie" album.

    Wanted - Cockpit Canvas Details

Pat (Patrout), We purchased a fully enclosed camperback from King Marine about a year ago. According to the owner at King Marine, we were the first pre 1987 22' C-Dory that was fitted with a Camperback. It was pricey, but turned out really nice. The owner said that he would keep the patterns...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Not doing much to C-Lou except for a little "permadorking" around. I'll second Tim's motion on Mikes cabin work. I got to see the Tyboo 25 this weekend and if mike hadn't of told me, I would of thought he purchased all that nice shelving and cabinet work at a high end furniture store...

    Garmin , Raymarine or ????

Pat, the fog never did lift that day. Like Dusty says, "the fog fears just melt away" once you start using a radar. Very true! I also don't mind fishing in the fog, but there's one thing that really makes me nervous when it's foggy. TUGBOATS! Sometimes they have their massive...

    Permatrim Hydrofoils

Quote...Did you notice any straight line steering differences? The boat pulled to the right only when I backed off the throttle quickly. I did leave my two portside weights at home (Cynthia and the 90lb kicker), so, leaning to the starboard side could of caused that.

    Permatrim Hydrofoils

Well Mike, I took her out on glassy Lake Crescent today and this is what happened: Running in a straight line at different speeds ( 0 to 26 kts.), the Permadork performed great. When I got the boat trimmed out at around 21 kts., the boat was like riding on air. Great smooth ride! When...

    Pleasant Harbor

Janet and Chris, that would be great if they would cut us a deal. I've always liked that place (really protected). In fact, about a year ago I was trying to get something together their, but the price for the stay turned me off. I can't remember exactly how much it was, but it seemed to be...

    22' CAT ???

In the last 6 months or so, I've had this desire for a cat, yes a cat. I have no doubt that the new 25' cat will be a huge success, but what if a 22' was designed the C-Dory way. I can picture that in my mind and I think that would be the perfect boat for us. Hey, if Livingston can make a...

What a fun time I had. Roger, great job putting this thing together. :thup :thup :thup Scott, Jeff and all of the C-Dory staff, you guys and gals are a class act and so are your boats. Hey, remember the movie "Field of Dreams"? I think the C-Dory Factory is on to something...
