Brock, one nice thing about the prison labor camp is that the internet is spotty. I might spend less than an hour all summer on the net and even less time watching the tv....it's kind of a nice reprieve from reality and politics (which is often not based in reality).

I had the back and side windows tinted by a quality shop a couple of years ago, I liked it when it was first installed, now, a few years later, I like it even more :) it's cooler (not that I ever get out in the boat in the summer anyway) it looks cooler and it affords a bit more privacy.
in 2012 we replaced a 2001 f150 with a new frontier. I believe the fronty does as good, or better job of towing the boat and 4000# camp trailer than the f150 did.

most tire shops can fix you up, drive in, drive out, easy peazy. If you're going on long trip, and it hasn't been done in a while, it would be good to get your wheel bearings inspected and repacked. most tire shops can do this also.

For what it's worth, the kid and have fished the Columbia for years and always scratched up a few fish. After replacing the Hondas with the newer Suzukis we've been knocking the sap out the salmon :)
that plug can be removed so you can hose out the cabin..or .. remove the screws holding the clear tube that displays the water level and route it through that hole to drain the fresh water tank
for the record, I think Jay's adventures and the resultant write-ups are far better than any of the fine AK reality TV shows :)
