Gunwale / gunnel rail core saturated

Saw my first FEIN during extensive house renovation when the pro carpenter used it. I bought a Dremel copycat (satisfied with previous Dremel tools) and had frequent issues with the blade flying off the shaft when the hex screw vibrated loose. Actually felt this was a safety issue so took it...

    Cdory 16 vs Cdory 19

Hayden & Cathy, Welcome to the PUB! I'm another C-Brat in ME and hope you will join in on our cruises when you find your C-Dory. As Rick said, Nate on Clover would be a great source since he has a 16 with camper back and has cruised the coast of ME among other areas. You can check out some...

    Active Captain Companion

How did you do a "work around" for the Ipad? I can't seem to use Active Captain on the Pad, but really do find it useful on the laptop/PC.

    Interesting new cruiser

Caledon 25 or 27 are trailerable cruiser I ran across when looking for a pocket cruiser. Seemed well built but more of displacement hull. Made in Ontario, Canada.

    V700 windlass retrieve issue

Does the 8-plait stretch less than 3-strand and thus offer less "shock absorber" function?

    leak in bow

If the water is still in the bow and the boat is on the trailer lower the tongue jack so the boat sits bow down and start removing the brass strip screws from the lowest onward and the water will drip/flow from the offending hole. Don't ask how I know this trick.

What Kind of Boat is this ?

The dry exhaust stack is a dead give-away that these are the real deal lobster fishing boats, only a fisherman could put up with the noise from the diesel engine.

Canada’s St John River Cruise Gathering

Rick did a nice summary of the cruise. He did forget to mention, as he noted on the trip, that we had most likely anchored further east than any other C-Brat save the member that lives in Nova Scotia.

EZ Loader Trailer Price and Other Options

Try champion Trailer parts online. They custom made a v-shaped 6000# axle for about $500. Fit perfectly and gave great advice on the phone. Think they are out of Louisiana.

Saw the Will-C crossing into Maine heading north (to Canada) on I-95 this AM. See you soon DD.

    Mooring buoys

Maine is one of only a few states where you own to the low water mark on tidal waters, with one caveat: fowlers and fisherman can pass over the inter-tidal area unimpeaded to participate in those activities. So always carry a fishing pole or a shotgun when walking the shore!

    Honda cowling paint flaking off

Bringing this topic back to ask Dave on Alma's Only about the paint timing. I just purchased the Honda paint and the counter person said to spray the clear coat on before the grey has dried? Didn't say it with too much authority, although I know the automotive paints are done this way. So which...

Seeking input on trailer side guides

Sunbeam, I have to frequently launch and load single-handed without the benefit of a dock along side and manage quite well by driving on/off the trailer with bunks and what I would call mini side guides along with the goal posts. The goal posts are 2" PVC over robust square galvanized posts...

Yes, impressive! Is the circulating fluid in the system some type of anti-freeze?

    Planar Heater

Rick, Considering the amount of thought you've obviously put into the installation of an Espar heater, I would guess Santa might be bringing one to you. I've changed my request from a winch to a wench.

    Pearl Harbor's greatest lesson

I salute you Dusty and your generation. 9/11 cost more American lives than Pearl Harbor! This threat is not contained yet.
