    "Wanderer" Has A New Home . . .

Thanks for your post, Casey. Guess I'm the absent-minded professor -- yes, so many fond memories of that voyage north together. And now Wanderer continues voyaging. Block Island is a favorite of ours -- spent many summers at Weekapaug RI, and our family just returned from Narragansett -- you...

    Lake Roosevelt

One of our favorite cruise lakes. Get there if you can and give yourselves some time to travel slowly and enjoy. Like Pat and Patti (and the Rana Verde crew) eleven years seems like yesterday. What a great lake to share with such great folk.

    "Wanderer" Has A New Home . . .

Wanderer accompanied Halcyon and Rana Verde on a cruise up the inside Passage years ago. She performed well, and glad to hear she's on the water with caring owners. Enjoy your fine boat. Cheers - El and Bill

We are cruising northerly, also. Three weeks ago, camping in AZ wilderness, heart attack for Bill, medical evacuation to Flagstaff, triple bypass, now out of hospital and fly back on commercial plane tomorrow with nurse and oxygen. So we are cruising north with you, buddy, and enjoy reading...

    08/29 - 10/01 - Grand Slam Western Lakes 2015

The Grand Slam, in our opinion, is one of the finest western US inland cruising trips possible. The scenery, the wildlife, the wilderness -- such grandeur! If you have the time, my what an experience -- with the comfort of pleasant companions and great guides -- should be on your bucket...

    First Day

What fine advice. We're now off the water, but love to read tales shared for new boaters. This site is as good as the day it started -- and so are the C-Dories! isn't learning with a new boat great fun? Like being a little kid again surrounded by supporting buddies.

    Some advice still needed

Boris Prince Rupert WAS a real man. A Prince of the Rhine, and a leader of my Palatinian ancestors who were Rhineland vintners. He was significant in Canadian history -- Rupert's Land -- before Canada -- as a founder of the Hudson Bay Company. Bill

Dessert 1st, Northbound on the ICW

You folks are off for a great experience -- we know you'll enjoy that great route. Cruise around the Carolina Sounds en route - fabulous in springtime (and fall). And have fun cruising the Chester River. And check out the song, "I'm going to cruise the Chester River".

Cruise to Laurasia - anyone interested?

Leaving June 1st - trip to Laurasia. See the Cretaceous landscape -- hadrosaurs, ichthyosaurs and maybe a t-Rex. Timed to be there when North America rifts off. Sea level a few hundred feet higher than today so should be good cruising into the swamps to watch the critters. Anyone care to...

    Upper Mississippi River

Chuck- El and I drifted down the Upper Mississippi to the Gulf almost 15 years ago -- and through those locks (what an experience) and it was a marvelous trip and great memory. Yes, as stated, personal attitude is critical. Perhaps consider Amtrak as a way back to truck and...
