RE Potter Water, funny that on a stern drive engine the word is to never spray oil into the air intake, can gum up the system since nothing passes thru to ever clean out the passages. Advice is to use fuel/oil mixture. Don't know why the procedure should differ between the two engine types.

Along those lines, my GPS is not wired to the ignition, I like to leave it on with the engine off and just drifting but when the engine is started, the screen gets scrambled so you must turn the GPS off and back on. Is there anyting to install in the circuit to prevent this? Thanks, Jake

Yes, the Nordic 26 is built for bigger seas and longer distances than a C-Dory yet both are pilothouse boats. So kind of like comparing a one ton and a quarter ton pickup truck. :)

Rich, Forgot to ask, how deep was the center of the channel and about how wide?

As with DuckDogTitus, if I see 10 feet I'm worried, at 7 feet I'm sweating and at 5 feet I'm dead still in the water deciding which way to turn for deeper water. And that's with no tides and virtually no rocks or tree stumps. Don't think I could get myself to do much exploring there in the NE...

C-Dory is a tired old brand that doesn't market or innovate. The main reason they are still around is that most of their competition operates in the same manner. Just think if Ranger Tugs/Cutwater produced a direct competitor to the CD22.
