Official launch date for the Marinaut

Thanks for the reply! Will the kicker be able to link to the main for helm steering?

Is there enough room for a kicker in that motor well? Also will there be a swim platform?

    Great Loop

Hi Mike, I'm very excited for you on this trip! 2 years, wow, can you give us an idea of your schedule as far as seasons go (summer, fall, winter....). I can see doing a full year, moving with the seasons to keep the temperature where you like them, but 2 years means some extreme temperatures...

    1995 Toland 18’8” Cruiser - $19,750 (Lake Martin, Alabama)

I had a chance to meet Linda and Monty this past Saturday and look at the Toland 18-8. First, thanks for the nice visit and hospitality, it made the trip worth the drive. In the end I found this boat did not fill my particular needs, but I think it’s a great little boat, in very good condition...

    1995 Toland 18’8” Cruiser - $19,750 (Lake Martin, Alabama)

From the photo with Monty standing in the back, it looks like you step down into the cabin and the cockpit may be self-draining. Is that correct? The brochure says 6'2" headroom, so unless Monty is almost 8 feet tall, there would have to be a step or two into the cabin. I guess there could be...

    1995 Toland 18’8” Cruiser - $19,750 (Lake Martin, Alabama)

Thanks Dave, I sent an email to Monty asking for the same things as my post. Yeah any photo's would be very helpful, I'm trying to decide if this boat is worth the day's trip from here (Louisville) to go see. Dave, if you don't mind, how does this boat compare to the CD-22? From the small...

22' owners...what is your typical MPG?

Yeah, I saw the out and back into the gulf, figured it was a fishing trip. Where in Louisville does your brother live? I'm in Louisville as well. Looking forward to following the rest of your journey. ps. Love that photo of your crawfish boil, right on the kitchen table, now that's living!

    1995 Toland 18’8” Cruiser - $19,750 (Lake Martin, Alabama)

Does anyone have a floor plan for this boat? Some kind of a line drawing that shows the interior layout.

Hi Roger, I just found your Super Loop on the Grand Adventure forum today. Are you on vacation from your vacation on the Loop? Looks like your last SPOT location was on a golf course, what did you shoot?

Dave and Ben - What's up with the Marinaut?

They haven't had time to update the site. They are working on the new double ended displacement hull design for their sister ship. :P

    A new C-Dory line?

I agree with Sea Wolf, the Allweather boat is really a pilothouse sailboat without a mast, you still have to climb down into it, and no bimini. Also access to the water, imagine trying to climb down into a dinghy, see the little ladder steps on the back. The really nice feature of the C-Dory is...

    A new C-Dory line?

OK Steve, picture this boat stretched out long enough to have a standing headroom cabin. It would look great and with a tiny Yanmar it could get 12 mpg. http://www.castineboat.com/castine_boat ... ruiser.htm If C-Dory is not up for a new model, maybe Toland Marine needs a sister ship to their...

    A new C-Dory line?

Yeah the numbers are good but your right it's not a C-Dory. Charlie, a boat would have to be 60 feet long to have a hull speed equal to my average speed on 2 wheel. (12 mph) It's hard to match the efficiency of a bicycle.

    A new C-Dory line?

OK this is as close as I can find, but again not a production boat. It's a St. Pierre Dory, so the fit is good. http://www.spirainternational.com/hp_newf.html

    A new C-Dory line?

This is the closest thing to what I'm describing, but it's not a production boat. I am not aware of a production boat that is like a C-Dory in it's cabin layout and gets that kind of mileage. If there is post it. Also let me say that I'm only suggesting that C-Dory have a super economical...

    A new C-Dory line?

A multitude? I'm not aware of any that meet my description.
