Dending on the year, C-Dory used some different core materials in the transom. The latest models use a synthetic material that won't rot. Earlier models used marine plywood, which can rot. With proper installation, hull penetration is not an issue. Trim tabs can help the boat perform better...

Automotive oils have had the zinc removed from them, and Marine oils I am told have not. For longest life we strongly recomend marine grade oils offered by the marine engine manufacturers. Stick with the oil offered by your engine manufacturer and you can't go wrong.

There will be warning labels on pumps dispensing E15 that it is prohibited to use E15 in vehilce older than 2001 and any off road applications- boats, chainsaws, etc. All I can say is that as bad as E10 is in boats, E15 would be catastophic. You have been warned. :wink:

I can see how it was a departure for C-Dory, and moved away from the "core" of what a lot of C-Dory owners find appealing about their boat. Yet I think it still retained a lot of the C-Dory elements- economical to operate, slower cruising speeds when desired but with a bit of punch when needed...

I beleive the 23 Venture used the same hatch cover, and the Imtra hatch should fit. I'm not sure if you'll find balsa in the core of the 23 Venture, as they went to a foam core material for the hull, but balsa may still have been in the deck.
