Hi Thanks to all of you for the advice :thup :thup :thup I think we will go with an 3 blade 13 pitch aluminum prop. We wont go fast on our trip, mostly about 10 miles/hr ... A thing we have to check out is, if a 4 blade would be better for us with all the weight we are caring... ...

Hi I think a good used Kenwood TS-50s or an ICOM IC-706 is the best for the buck. :thup 100 watt is all you need anyway... :wink: The unit is very nice and small, and as good as the newer units... Maybe a extra DSP Filter would be a good idea.. Regards Chris

Hi @ Merv Yes, we can fold them down and carry them in the aft of the boat... They are hypalon tubes you just have to blow them up... :shock: @ Dave We will use straps. Two under the boat and 6 around the boat (on cleats)... The same system I used on the yukon river for 2250 miles... :shock...

Hi We just ad some "fenders" on ORCA... :shock: These are my 21.5' x 2.5' long Hypalon® pontoons from my 2006 Yukon River Catamaran... :D That will give ORCA a lot of flotation.... :wink: :wink: I think that will compensate the lost flotation under the v-berth.... And it is mutch safer...
