pay for boat detailing or surface repairs?

The detail was done in Calif. as I brought the boat down for the summer, next week it heads back to Washington, but at least the bugs should wash off a bit easier.

pay for boat detailing or surface repairs?

I finally broke down and paid for a detail. $275 it now has 2 coats of wax and really shine. The trailer and boat were pressure washed before they ever started. Now that I have a good basecoat will do it myself, unless I get lazy again.

    Yet another poll...

Ah, that's the large round portlights and the profile Speaking of portlights, have you thought about an option in the cuddy for this? Then again with that space being more open than the cave on the 22 maybe this is a mute point. I do like Toms suggestion on the "stays" for the carpet runner.

Towing advice on a 2008 Toyota Tacoma

I towed my 22 with a 2007 Tacoma, same setup as you. I towed it back and forth from Sacramento to our vacation home in Washington several times. Due to issues with the Tacoma drive train that the dealer could never figure out I moved up to a Titan. I really like towing with this.

    I need some input please...

I agree cabin and berth standard, I used the same product as Greg and it has deadened the noise level a bit also. I would much rather pay $800 up front than all the time taping etc later on.

    new member.... hello everyone

Welcome aboard Chris I bought my boat used a couple of years ago, likewise it had a CB radio, my understanding was the previous owner used that radio to talk to his fishing buddies about the hot spots. I took it out and added a 2nd VHF, had to change out the antenna also as it was CB and not VHF

Would you buy a C-Dory on sale?

Interesting concept. I like the hull of the 23 Venture, but do not like the molded cabinets. I assume the hull would still be cored, just the inside without the frills. Sounds like a good match to me. Now if I could only convince the wife we need a new boat!

    Just Browsing and wndow shopping

I don't think you can go wrong with any motors these days, it is more based on your preference and what maint. shops are in your area. I have twin Suzuki's. My last boat was Yamaha. Both were great motors. I just wanted a boat with twins and liked the Suzuki's. I have had maint. done at the...

Mark I would figure out what model you want, but certainly give Marc at Wefings a call and look at the options available, he really gets creative. transporting to nebraska is not nearly as difficult as it seems, there are many options for this also. I bought my 2007 used in 2009 through B of A...

Essex is the group that Boatus refers to, thanks as I could not remember the name they gave me when I did my financing a few years ago.
