    Another New Marinaut Owner

Welcome aboard Michael 2 boats ago I had a Striper, then moved to the C-Dory 22 and now a Ranger Tug 27. The Striper was a good boat but did not meet our cruising needs. If you look at my album you will see my lone C-Dory at the annual Striper get together in Calif. I had a lot of Striper...

    Replacing anchor rode and chain

I was using a 14# Delta and 50' of 1/4" chain with the windlass, worked great on the 22.

Would you buy agin or go another way ?

We had our CD22 for 3 years and I single handed quite a bit, was great for that, but getting ready to retire the wife said side thrusters and a shower. We looked at Nordic 32's, the wife loved the krogen 55 but that million plus was out of the question, so this led us to our Ranger tug 27...

    Port Angeles or Sequim

Hey Harvey More info on that shuttle from Sidney to Victoria would be appreciated. Is that the city bus or an actual shuttle from the marina? Where exactly do you get the shuttle at? Thanks Don

    Trailer winch: cable or strap?

I vote for strap, my last one I replaced after 6 years, was at the ramp one day and a brand new North River was pulling out with brand new cable on the trailer, the boat was soon sitting on the hard when the cable broke. Fortunately with the shape of the bow and 6 of us we got it on the...

    Twin Suzuki 40's

There are quite a few of us that have/had this setup, mine was a 2007 model and I loved the motors. Mine had about 375 hours and looked and ran as new. I did service them one a year. power wise no issues, it did make the stern a little on the heavier side, but trim tabs and weight balance take...

    Card

Even though I will never need the card, the wife will, she's 8 years younger than me so we will take the class together, this way when she says "that's not what we learned in class" I will at least have an answer for her.

    Moorage

LaConner you can dry store and have I believe 5 in and outs a month for just over a hundred bucks, also no electrical to the dry store area. My tug is dry store in Anacortes, but it's 300 for set up on blocks and about 150/month including electric to the boat.

    07/26 - 07/28 - La Connor Gathering

Might have quite a few C-Dory's and Ranger Tugs passing each other, the tugs will arrive in Comox on July 29 coming from Nanaimo. Should be about 50 tugs all headed to Desolation. My boat will be one of them.

Lets keep track of Good and Bad Customer Service

Angola canvas was great both in pricing and service before and after the sale and fast delivery. Greg from Triton's serice dept. He did my trailer repair, new lights and wiring, and installed new GPS plus motor serive. West Marine usually good, but a miss delivery to the wrong address by Fed...

    Cost of new C-Dory 22

I would agree with Matt, we made the change because getting ready for retirement we wanted to cruise in a bit more comfort. However I did buy my Ranger Tug used, but I purchased through the factory and they give you a warranty and great support. The factory support was a huge issue for us. and...

    Winter Projects

Bruce Last year I had the V700 installed in my 22 and also used 8 plait rode, this worked very well. I did as Dr Bob suggested and soaked the rode for a couple of days before installing it. Used it in the Sacramento Delta and San Juans several times before I sold the boat.

    Ranger Tug Sedan

The 31 tug without the flybridge went to a BC customer last summer. I spent several days cruising on a 28 Cutwater over the summer, great boat, but in the end we bought a used 27 tug as it worked better for us.

    Ranger Tug Sedan

I know an owner ordered his 31 without the flybridge. Don't know what the sedan would look like. I know they are introducing a Cutwater 30 at the show.

What kind of boating related stuff did y'all get for XMAS?

600' of poly rope for the stern tie, some monogram towels, and the wife gave me $2500 to outfit the new boat including a dinghy motor, oh, I'll have fun spending that!

    Moving the Grand Banks

Very nice boat, I personally love all the teak, but the wife set the criteria when we replaced the C-Dory, that it had to have a bow thruster and preferably a stern thruster also. This criteria narrowed my search and since I needed her buy in, we ended up with the Ranger tug

    C-brat flooded

Gosh, reading the other post maybe this is now taboo to ask, but here goes, has anyone heard from Roger and if he had any damage? Don

    And our new boat is...

We did the same hunt, GB32, Nordic, etc. settled on the Ranger tug 27, some tough choices. In the end because of still working we wanted the option of cruising at a higher speed. Congrats on the new boat! Don
