    Not Readyfor a C-Dory

We went throught that phase and bought the C-Dory a few years ago, and now that I am within a couple of years from retirement am looking to move up again, but to a Ranger tug vs the Cutwater. So much to decide on, good luck.

    It's finally happening

Congrats Bill We flew out of Sacramento since we heard it was going to be hot. We are sitting at our Camano Island house and spent the day in Bellingham test driving Cutwaters. 2 more years and we move and we will permanently move north also.

    Windlass Selection

The boat originally had a Hawse hatch for the rode, I just installed a Lemar V700 with 50' of chain and 200' of 8 plait line. I will eventually add a door also the Hawse pipe stayed so will vent also.

    Oregon Invasive Species permit

I travel with my boat between our Calif and Wa. houses. The signs have been up at the border for a couple of years. Winter time no issue driving through, but in the summer they pull you into the truck stop and did an education piece and inspected the boat and put a seal on it. Coming back into...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

I thought about the boat while I was in Oakland for the boat show, Jeff was teasing my wife with the Ranger tug 29. I did buy a new life vest.

    Wallas stove question

You do not have to start your engine to start up the Wallas, the unit does take a fairly charged battery to start. So if you have been anchored all night and the battery is running a bit low on voltage, then a good idea to crank the motor, fire up the Wallas then you can shut off the motor. It...

    Weight Difference Tomcat Vs. 25

Pat, you are safe towing the weight with the Titan, your towing capacity is actually 9400#, you are looking at the GVWR which is the truck passengers fuel and anything you thow in the bed plus the tongue weight of the trailer. The Titan will pull it fine. What you would look at is the combined...

    Weight Difference Tomcat Vs. 25

I believe the tow rating on the year of Tundra is about 6500-7,000# which if I remember Dr Bob talking about loaded up the cat is close to 10,000#. That's a lot of weight for that truck to pull.

    Ranger Tug

Congrat's Anne Was nice seeing some of the C-Dory people at the training today. Brenda and I will be sticking with our C-Dory for a bit longer, but have done a test drive in a 25 Ranger, next will be a Cutwater test drive, so we are still figuring out what meets our needs. Don

    Moving To Anacortes, WA

Guess I should chime in here, In my trucking days I did this route twice a week, now many times a year between our Calif house and Camano Island house. I have 2 more years before we make the move to Camano fulltime. I am still working and my roots to trucking still exist so without the boat in...

    LED Bulbs for Light Mast

I did like Mark, changed out the mast light and left the running lights alone. For the inside cabin eventually will change those out, for now I use a rechargable lantern light which works great, very bright and cheaper than replacing all the lights. I would like to add a red light to the helm area.

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

Let's see. The boat now has a new bimini top, had window shades, screens for front center window and a zippered one for the door made at the same time. Moved the boat to a different shop a few miles down the road to have a windlass installed, and a long laundry list of new goodies done from...

    Marinaut Boats on the road

There is always the Anacortes boat show, March 23-25. It is a free show and I have always enjoyed the more relaxed approach they have. Of course they have an Anthony's now at the marina, maybe the show would allow you to park the boat in their lot, since the show is on the water.
