The Cruising Adventures of Wild Blue and crew...

Jim, Toni and I are hunkered down off I-10 in our HitchHiker 15 miles south of Las Cruces. We did manage to make it into El Paso to a Brew Pub for some lunch and then to Old Messillo in the afternoon. As you implied, snow is an "event" here and people are not used to driving in it. We had hoped...

    New Member,First Project

Sam, Very nice work. Did you treat the wood in any way and if so, what with? From what I have read from other owners, you picked a good first project.

    iPhone questions

I too have entered Droidhood, this AM, and although I have nothing to compare it to, so far it is pretty impressive. The touch screen is very sensitive but there is a learning curve to everything. Like Jim says, the next few months will tell.

    Congrats to Joe and Ruth!

Ruth and Joe, Congratulations on the new water toy, the pictures look good but I think all the metal parts need a little polishing, if you know someone who knows anything about that sort of thing. Really, if I were going to rig a 22... it would look like yours, very cool. Toni & I are land...

    Pacific Coast Highway

Toni and I Left Yesterday heading south but not on 101. The weather in SW Washington was heavy wind and rain, we finally got out of it just south of Mt. Hood. We have no ultimate destination, just a direction, but we hope to get by Grand Canyon, Sedona, Flagstaff, Phoenix, Yuma, and Tucson...

Solving the Lake Powell BF130 /150 Problem

There is a service bulletin on Honda 150's with serial numbers between 1000001 thru 1101713 that says performance is effected at higher elevations. My serial number falls in this range and my Honda tech here in Chinook is ordering the new electronic command module that hopefully is covered under...

    Lake Powell 2009

Thanks to Chris on Rana Verde for hosting this event again. We had a great visit with fellow Brats and a wonderful time on the lake. The weather was perfect and the fishing is the best we have had there. We pulled out of the water today and got on the road by 1:00 pm. We should be home in a few...

    Thank you Russ and Toni

Rick, I bend the herring with a mooching rig to give them a slow roll. Call me when you get here and I'll try to meet you. Warren, the swells were about 10 seconds apart with 1'-3' wind waves. The wind was gusting to 20 knots and was starting to exceed my comfort level so we followed the swell...

    Thank you Russ and Toni

It didn't take Tom long to catch on to how we fish down here in the ocean, he can fish on my boat anytime. The season closed at midnight the day Tom went home and it was a good way for me to end my ocean season, seven salmon on my second catch record for a total of 33 and twelve for Toni (she...

    CR, Ocean Salmon

Toni & I took Tom Elliott of the Susan E for a trip over the bar and three limits of Salmon today, it took us three hours fishing between the CR buoy and north to buoy one. Tom and I will go out again tomorrow, the season closes tomorrow at midnight.

Wild Columbia River Chinook Salmon $6.99 /Lb.

This, I think, is one of the largest runs in years. We don't fish the river much, if we can get over the bar we fish the ocean. The fishing there has been great but probably one Chinook for every fifteen Coho... I'm not complaining.

    Lake Powell 2009

Dear Ken and Lynn, Toni Here. We love Lake Powell and enjoy meeting other C-Dory owners there. It is one of the most beautiful places to go. September is a great time of the year. School has started and most people have enjoyed the lake and have gone home. So there are a lot of secret...

What to do on a Cruse?

Russ here, we don't get bored on long cruises. We have a dinghy to get to shore, we like to hike, explore, and get oysters and clams, we also like to fish. We do have internet with a sprint air card that works most places and some nights we have "movie night" and watch a movie on the lap top...

    CR, Ocean Salmon

Mike, Our youngest daughter gets married today or you would see me out by the CR buoy. I have had the boat over the bar seven times since coming back from N. Carolina and we limited each time. One day Toni and I had our fish by 7:30 am, ran back to Chinook, and had two 44" sturgeon by 11:30 am...
