Hi Tom, C-Dory's are tough well made boats. The Camano is the same but a couple of sizes up. Yes, Jamie & Denise in the Comox Valley switched to the Troll. Martin.

Comox to PR is the shortest route across the Strait. At the speed you do, maybe an hour max. Martin.

Trailering to Port McNeill, were to stay

Walmart in the Comox Valley banned overnight parking last summer. Rumour was that Walmart is banning overnight parking everywhere. Best to check ahead. Martin.

    Nomad

With Nomad sold, I did not want to say to much about our new (to us) boat until the documentation and insurance was in place. This has now happened and we are on our way as foot passengers this weekend to Anacortes. The new boat is a Camano Troll 31. Next weekend is the annual Camano gathering...

Hi Pat, Monk 36s are neat boats, but to much boat for me. Lots of woodwork to look after. I want zero exterior maint (like the C-Dory) and a max length of 32ft so that it will go in my marina slip. Wow you guys are busy, good for you. See you in 2018. Martin and Andrea.

    Vancouver Island short stay storage

If I still had my old house with the long driveway, you would be welcome to park up for free as long as you want. Unfortunately since downsizing, that is no longer an option. Surely there must be someone in the Comox Valley who can help out? Maybe they will see this message? Martin.

    Promoted!

Congrats Mark, very pleased for you. A few weeks ago, you and I talked about retirement. Enjoy your new position but don't leave the big "R" to long. I retired two and a half years ago. Just love it. Wish I had done it earlier. Martin.

    Ethanol gas and Yamaha 50

When we started going to the Friday Harbor gathering 5 years ago, the only place we could get non-ethanol gas was at Rosario Resort. Now Roche and Friday Harbor have non-ethanol. I know La Connor is also non-ethanol. I feel so much happier cruising in the San Juans now :D Martin.

Sorry guys, we have to pull out of the PR gathering. Nomad is for sale, she is all cleaned up inside and out, and I have taken all my crap off. Not going to risk getting her dirty or suffer any dings. Have a great time. I know we will see some of you in the future. Martin.
