    TC 255 Hull Speed?

That sounds like what I was getting a couple of years ago. Now I am getting about 14.x GPH. :crook Warren

    TC 255 Hull Speed?

It's from the integrated Yamaha Command Link system. AFAIK there is no calibration, as it measures the fuel being squirted into the cylinders. Maybe Matt or Marc can comment further? Warren

    TC 255 Hull Speed?

Brent, what kind of mileage do you get on plane? When I first got my TC I was regularly getting 1.8 to 2.1 mpg which did not seem to vary much from 14 to 25 mph, as measured by my Yamaha electronics. Now I am lucky to get 1.7, even with all the cruising crap off the boat. I don't know if it is...

    07/20 - 07/22 - La Conner, WA

Some of these issues were already discussed at the end of the Bellingham CBGT thread...Tom was going to look into it. Warren

    07/20 - 07/22 - La Conner, WA

I vote for LaConner for various reasons, but the primary one is that we have not had a CBGT there and until we do we will not really know how it compares to Bellingham. Is the factory going to be involved in this, or any other, CBGT? Warren

    LED Lighting for Cabin

Why did you stick the circuit board & LEDs to the lens? What I meant was to fasten it to the metal of the fixture. Right now it is resting on the lens and works fine. I just thought by fastening it away from the lens the light might be slightly more diffuse and you would not be able to see the...

    LED Lighting for Cabin

The ones I bought from Fisheries work fine. No interference. I just plugged mine in but I am wondering if the double-sided stickies in the package are intended to stick the circuit board up against the inside of the fixture? I threw my stickies away by mistake so need to find out if there is a...

Repowering Boat, not a C-dory, but respect your knowledge :)

Tom, it was gratifying to see the Yamaha 150 on top of your list as that is what I have on my Tom Cat. However, I noticed that you did not rate Suzuki -- is that because there is no local dealer for you? Warren

    HughesNet Modem Expires!!

I tried out my Sleek in Canada and no joy. Wondering if I was using it incorrectly. Jim said something about putting the antenna on a pie plate? Maybe there was no signal to be had. Warren

    Factory Charger Died

A general comment about this topic: I installed a Xantrex LinkLike battery monitor on the Tom Cat before going to the Broughtons earlier this "summer" and it was freaking awesome. I run a big WAECO freezer off an inverter (the DC input died) and with the LinkLite I learned when I could run the...

    07/15 - 07/17 - Bellingham C-Brat Gathering

Tom, is there a venue for the potluck at the marina, such as a yacht club? It would be nice to not have to worry about whether it rains. Warren

Tom, great news. Let me know how we can help put on a killer CBGT in LaConner! Warren

    07/15 - 07/17 - Bellingham C-Brat Gathering

Tom, on the way home Lori and I were talking about Anacortes as a possible new venue for the Bellingham CBGT. However, we would be more than happy to help you put the event on, whether in LaConner or Anacortes. Does the LaConner marina take transient boats? Would they put us all together? One...

    Leaky Fishboxes. Grrrr!

Charlie, Do you mean you removed the factory through-hulls for the bilge & macerator pumps, etc. glassed them over, and put them in again at a location higher up from the waterline? (I am assuming that what you are calling overboards I am calling through-hulls.) I tried the trick of drilling...

    Leaky Fishboxes. Grrrr!

Hmmm. Tom, I think your goals are admirable. I would love to get to that point, too. I drilled holes in the lip of the fishboxes and drained them into the bilges but it did not help much, if at all. Wondering if hatches similar to the Bowmar you installed for the rear compartment would also...

    Leaky Fishboxes. Grrrr!

Thanks, Tom -- but why not just let the fishboxes drain into the sponsons and then pump out with the bilge pumps? Warren

Making Tom Cat rear hatch watertight

Tom Little reports in this thread about a fishbox mod that he (and several other people) have made. There is a related modification that I would like to make in the cockpit, and that is to make the big hatch in the stern watertight. It is a major conduit for water into the compartment...
