    delta anchor, chain rode problems

As far as amount of chain, a good rule of thumb is aprox 1 foot of chain for each foot of boat length. This is what my Dad always uses and passed on to me (we commercial fish in Bristol Bay). Of course this varies depending on whose thumb you are using at the time.

Is there any problems taking a dog into Canada ?

Whenever I have gone across the border with pets it's always been a current health certificate they asked for. This is usually only good for (I think) 30 days. Best best would be to call the Canadian Consul or Embassy near you.

    Good News - Bad News

Well if you send me some details (year of hull, trailer, engine & kicker) and an asking price I'll see if I can convince the "financial manager" about it. You can e-mail me at graymouser(at)gci.net. Just replace the "(at)" with "@".

Out of curiosity, what are you asking, and how soon do you need to sell?

C-Dory Ad - Anchorage Daily News

I was looking through the Anchorage Daily News, and ran across this ad: At first I thought it was RedFox :!: for sale  but after a quick look over here and at his website I realized that he has a 115 Yamaha. I'm not financially ready to shop, but I still look and wish I could buy...

22 Classic Angler - Good deal?

Congratulations on the boat. Glad it's going to a good home. I'll just have to wait for another one to come my way. :) When you come down to Valdez, look me up. Brian

    UP orDown

While I don't (yet) have a C-dory, I do trailer my current boat with the engine resting on a 2x4 very similar to they way El and Bill trailer theirs. I got this technique from my Grandfather who used it on all his outboards. BTW, my boat is a 16ft, 1965 Wards Sea King with a 1985 40hp Mercury...

Well, if you decide to back out after taking it for a test run, let me know because I am still interested. - Even after all the "negative" comments!

    New tow vehicle

As we go off on yet another tangent, I might as well add to it. If you receive a suspicious package or letter in the mail, the first thing you should do is leave it alone! Call somebody that knows about disarming and/or checking for dangerous substances. Many package bombs are set to...

22 Classic Angler - Good deal?

Sea Wolf - Thanks for all the good info. I haven't been able to check me e-mail to see what info the owner sent me, but it sounds like Patrout is already working on a deal with him. Good for him, not so good for me. Patrout - Good luck on getting the boat, I hope it works out for you...

22 Classic Angler - Good deal?

I just checked the price from Juneau to Haines. It's just a little over $100. I think I could probably drive from Valdez to Haines for less than $400!! I'm surprised that RedFox hasn't mentioned all the benefits and wonders of a Classic Angler yet.... :thup

22 Classic Angler - Good deal?

I actually located the ad on the C-Dog site (it's in the "more C-Dorys for sale" section) and this is what it says: I don't know how long it's been for sale, but I sent an e-mail to find out more information. As far as shipping, it's not too bad to put on the ferry to Valdez. Looking at the...

22 Classic Angler - Good deal?

Greetings, I have been lurking on the forums for some time now, but haven't had much to contribute since I am a "wannabe". Anyway, I ran across this C-dory for sale and was wondering if anybody either knows about it, or whether it is a good deal or not. Here is the website to check it...
