  1. Might as well put one in the back too, seeing how that is where I spend a lot of time at Anchor. Much better for the back.

Upgrading from Raymarine C Series to Axium ???

Yes , thanks Peter and Judy from us also. That was very informative and answered many questions for me. We will either have to stick with what we have or get both the Raydome and Plotter at the same time. That plotter looks really nice though. I might have to shake out my piggy bank.

Upgrading from Raymarine C Series to Axium ???

I too have been contemplating upgrading some electronics. We have Raymarine C80 with Navionics, Radar and older auto pilot. We have a Garmin stand alone Depth sounder/fish finder that works very well. Also a Samsung Tab 10A android tablet with Navionics subscription. The thing I would like to...

Honda 90 (carb) starting tips needed

On our 2004 carbed BF 90A with Binnacle control the choke was operated by pushing in on the ignition key. Push in while cranking for choke. Once it fires off, tap it a couple more times to keep it running until it is warm enough to run on it's own.

    Need help with dinghy rack.

I got some SS Allen head bolts that are longer than what comes with the riser from McMaster Carr. I used CVG Fir 2x2 and counter sunk them so the bolt and nut would not protrude. I even drilled some drain holes so that water would not collect in the countersunk holes. I painted the wood with...

    Failed mooring bouys

We saw a good example of why one should be careful about which mooring bouys they choose to tie yesterday afternoon at watmouth Bay on Lopez. A 30' motor yacht tied to one of four bouys that are marked private. The wind came up and I saw the buoy break loose. I layed on our horn and tried...

Connect Old Raymarine Stuff to New NMEA 2000 Backbone?

Finally, the question is does the Raymarine MFD have the processing capability to handle all this data and display it? Remember AIS was just coming on the scene in 2005. One would have to read the op manual to see if the unit could process AIS data. Next, would the unit be able to process the...

Connect Old Raymarine Stuff to New NMEA 2000 Backbone?

Our Boat has 2004 Raymarine C80 with radar and autopilot and was also originally set up by EQ Marine. Our gps was originally supplied through a Raynav 300 GPS Plotter. The loss of the satellites over time that the raynav300 was usine made it obsolete. I replaced it with a Raymarine E32042...

    Free Honda Permatrim

If anyone needs a permatrim for a Honda 90 we have one we want to find a home for. This would have also fit our new Yamaha but the holes would not match up with the Yamaha. The reason I am not going to try and sell it on ebay, is that when mountng a new one it is necessary to drill up through...

    Converting to Oil Fill Bearings????

Colby Have you removed the press in caps for maintenance since you installed them? I am just wondering how hard or easy they are to get off without damage. The bearing buddys work the same as far as installation and removal. I have found that sometimes I have really had to get brutal with them...
