The Samish erected a story pole in Deception Pass State Park 38 years ago. This video tells how it came to be. The late Ken Hansen, tribal chairman at the time, was my cousin. I am close to many of the people in the video.

We have done a LOT of long distance towing, four round trips to Lake Powell in Utah and one round trip to LaBelle, Florida, We tow Daydream at 60 with our 2006 1 ton Silverado 3500. That gives me a much better chance to react to the unexpected than at 70 or even 65.

Keep an eye out for these guys (definitely not Huck and Jim, not even the Mississippi, but sort of Mark Twain-ish!
