:disgust Your project just blows me away, I've had a 16 now for 2 and half years. I don't have your core issues but I have done plenty to suite my many needs. Splash Rail

My scooter is a Super Cycle 800 distributed by Super Cycles out of Myrtle Beach S.C. I've had it a year only $600. I had a rack fabricated by a local shop for the slot across the top of the splash well, makes it easy to get off and on the boat. I'm disabled a bit so I have to work around stuff...

    Splash Rail

When I'm having a choppy windy day I put up my side tent walls and it does fine keeping the water out of the back. I leave the back off, but if its bad you can leave back on as well and roll open the clear window portion. I travel with a foldable electric scooter which I store across the rear...

    Permatrim

I've had my Whale tale for a year now, I already had trim tabs. The advantage for this device is choppy water, yes you lose 1 1/2 or so of speed how ever your boat no longer Bangs thru the chop, our C Dorys have a sharp bow and when you force it down it just cuts right thru. It's a night and day...

Cooler: Rock Salt PLUS DRY ICE? Would it work even better?

The problem with dry ice is that it does freeze everything, I have used it to prep the cooler the day before and it's pretty good for that if you don't mind the effort. I don't have problems with ice because I need fuel and 90% of the time there's ice too.

    Spare Prop

Don't know where I came up with this idea but for the money I'm pretty happy. I went to Ace in the stainless section and got a 6" carriage bolt two fender washers and a wing nut. You may have another spot in mind but I chose the V berth on the passenger side at their feet. I lifted the mattress...

    Second anchor suggestions

Amazon has a great buy on the #9 Delta, I only use 10ft of chain and this device DIGS in. The danforth is just old technology. Oh I'm a 16 so maybe consider more weight not sure you need the weight because this thing DIGS in when you set it properly.

Dessert 1st, Northbound on the ICW

I stayed everywhere Bill and Mary are staying, up to Savannah. I back packed travel my entire life and have rubbed every thing on my skin known to man. Most all of it works fine but I feel dirty not having a shower to get the stuff off. How ever I find the "Thermacell" to be one of the greatest...

    permatrim questions

Hey guys this has been a good one for me as well. My first 16 Cruiser experience was a one month trial with out tabs or fin, I agree with what someone said eairler, this boat should not leave the factory without both. The boat I found had trim tabs already installed and I was really impressed...

A simpler anchoring system to save my back.

Hi Na Waga, I'm a local guy, central Fl, know all of your nice picture areas by heart not by name. I'm in a weel chair and Segway to get around so my mobility is limited. I'll try and explain how I manage my anchor from the back of the boat. I figured this out by looking at several video's on...

RuleMate 1100 replacement in 16' Cruiser

Oh I read your post the other day and forgot the woes I had with that crummy blue plastic base. I broke two on my B Whaler, so I took a new one to a frabration shop and had them make me one out of metal, well it never broke again. I run a 16 cruiser now and have for two years managed to not...

    Upper Mississippi River
