    Miss our c-dory

Geeze, we are in exactly the same position as you. Sold our 22' C-dory 2 years ago. Did not think we would miss boating as much as we do, but alas, we do. That is why we are actively shopping for another C- Dory now. But we decided we want a 25 fter this time. Good luck on your search

    Farmed Salmon Escape

I wish people would be this up in arms over global warming or the huge cuts in the EPA as proposed by the clown we have in the White House. Those two items will have a much greater impact on native salmon stock than the accidental release of farmed fish

FISH!!! Broken net, San Juan Islands

This is not the first time this has happened. A pen containing Alantic salmon in Rich Passage broke open releasing a slew of fish years ago. Was no lasting effects. Put a lot of fish in the smoker that year.

    Daydream's Great Loop Blog!

Do you know if they will have to haul your boat out to make the repairs? And if so will you have to find a motel?

    Daydream's Great Loop Blog!

I looked at the picture of DeVos's boat, and the picture of Daydream just below it, and I can say in all honesty, your's is a much nicer looking boat.

    Converting to Oil Fill Bearings????

Have made the switch from grease to oil bath hubs before. Easy enough to do. Had to change the hubs, to be able to take the oil bath hub caps and rear seal. The bearings and races were the same. If your hubs and brake drums or rotors are one piece it may not be worth the cost. But for a small...

    downrigger setup

You might be able to get longer booms for your down riggers. I know you can for Scottie's. Also you can get and mount a stainless steel prop guard on your kicker. Never seen anyone use monofilament on down riggers. I ran braided line on mine one really liked it. No stretch and NO RUST!

    Bearing Buddy Question

Pat If I was you I would go to a trailer supply shop with the year, make, and model of your trailer. All that info should be on a data plate on the tongue of your trailer. I have had real good luck using 6 Robblees trailer supply for both bearing and brake parts. I would think a well stocked...

    Bearing Buddy Question

Pat Easy to check and fix, jack the wheel up just enough so it spins freely. Take a rubber mallet or a hammer and a piece of wood and tap around the edge of the buddy as you slowly turn wheel. Walk the buddy out and clean the old grease out. Than you will know if the plate is stuck or not...

    Carpy

I had the honor of meeting Bruce once, and will never forget it. This was back when he was in the market for a boat and was considering a C-Dory. Prior to coming out to the Seattle area to visit his son he got on this site asking if anyone would take him out for a ride. Bruce, his son, forgive...

    Ranger Tug 23

The head did not look all that bad to use. Step down from main cabin to the Vee berth, the toilet to right sink to left. The door that closes off the toilet area is than closed across entrance to the main cabin while using toilet. If using toilet at night while Vee berth is occupied there is a...

    Ranger Tug 23

Kathy and I spent a good deal of time poking in and around the 23 and really liked what we saw. As far as the head/ shower arangement goes I think they did a great job of utilizing the space given. It is only a 23 foot boat after all. The only thing that I was not real fond of was that large...
