    EQ Marine

YACD : Yes, your right. After reading your first thread, I went back and searched again for Honda dealers. Sail Annapolis still does not show when I place my zip code. I live near Washington, DC. Another dealer in Annapolis, nearly identacle mileage, shows up but not SA. They do show up if I...

    EQ Marine

YACD : I'm glad you have had a good experience with Sail Annapolis. Honda doesn't list them on their web site. I'm going to have to take another run over there, find parking somewhere and talk to them first hand and find out where their work yard is located. My comment about CD losing good...

    Team Geezer

Being a click away from having spent 6 decades on this planet, I'm just a pup compared to some of you but I feel like the gentleman in Wandering Sagebrush's photo. :cry With arthritis making turning my head a effort and a titanium knee like Charlie, I sometimes think I need a hoist to board...

    EQ Marine

Here on the East Coast, Cutter Marine is still listed as a C-Dory dealer although Cutter has dropped them from Cutter's web site. I bought from Cutter and have enjoyed their customer service like EQ people have. My CD-22 is presently stored there and they will service it when needed. Sail...

    Porta-Bote, an option

Would there be any advantage to keeping it assembled and store on roof similar to a inflated raft? Allan

    Mercury engines

Pat Sail Annapolis, which replaced Cutter Marine here near Chesapeake Bay, is not a Honda dealer. At least their not listed on Honda's web site. Then again, Cutter is listed on C-Dory's web site even though Cutter has dropped the line. As far as Mercury OB, my last boat had a Merc 90 EFI...

    06/06 - 06/08 - Annual Chesapeake Bay Gathering

Tom I'm not really concerned about the reservation, since Barbara took my credit card number and put me in the book. I figured sometime between now and June, they would reconcile paperwork and apply appropriate rate. Thanks Allan

    06/06 - 06/08 - Annual Chesapeake Bay Gathering

Charlie thanks for the link to the marina. I called yesterday to reserve a slip. I was the second C-Brat to reserve a slip although Barbara had no info on the gathering so she couldn't give a group rate. She remembered last year and said the fellow who handles groups is out but would be back...

    06/06 - 06/08 - Annual Chesapeake Bay Gathering

Terraplane Don't know if we will cruise the Jeanie P all the way down the Potomac and then up the Chesapeake to Rock Hall. That's about 190 or so miles and I'm not sure my wife wants to stay the weekend plus take off work for 3/4 days to transit. I'm up for it and the plan may be for me to solo...

    H2O Shower Bags

Thanks people. I already have a plastic camper shower enclosure but might just attach a sheet or two to the camper top instead. It seems that the sheet would dry faster and be less cumbersome. Thanks again for the replies. Allan

    Batteries - Again / Still

Wow ! Pat, I thought I was the the only one who was electrically and mechanically challenged person on this forum. :cry I feel your pain  It makes me feel like I should never attempt any D-I-Y projects. At least no one was hurt. :smilep Allan

    H2O Shower Bags

Is anyone familiar with the plastic water shower bags that you put in the sun for a few hours to heat the water? It seems like a perfect match with a C-Dory 22 . What is the lowest average outside temperature that would still allow the water to warm up? Taking a Navy shower - wet,lather...

    winterizing questions

Joe What if you got a plastic 30 gallon trash can and put it around the lower unit while the unit is trimmed up. Lower the unit into the water. The plastic can should keep sea water out while the lower unit can drain and then raise the unit up and remove the trash can with any water that has...

    MERRY CHRISTMAS

:D I second Hardee's thoughts. I,too, am a first year C-Dory owner. I'm on-line almost every day but I'm too inexperienced to contribute much, so I just lurk and try to learn. I really enjoy all the camaraderie between posters. I especially appreciate the work of the administrators for keeping...

2007 Alaska northern inland passage wilderness cruise

:D Jay, I'm not very knowledgable when it comes to video or computers, so I can't put a value on the effort made to put them on this C-Brat site. Only you can do that. But I can say that I've read every thread and saw every video and am extremely happy that you took the effort to share your...

Cheap shore power, Battery charger = dead battery

Bob - My question is the galvanic isolator needed if the boat is IN the water but O/B is trimmed up and nothing wired to any hull openings? Also, could I put a reverse polarity plug type indicator on the power cord and then plug it into the GFCI receptacle and meet that requirement? Allan

Cheap shore power, Battery charger = dead battery

The charger is wired directly to the batteries. It may be the inline fuse to #1. The boat is shrinkwraped and stored 1 1/2 hr away so I won't be able to check it until Spring. Bob- if I remember correctly, all electronics with a memory are wired to #2 battery, including the bilge pump. so I'm...
