If you’re only towing from Tilllmook to a local ramp or Garibaldi, the Highlander would be OK, but personally I’d prefer a more capable vehicle for any trip with a significant climb or descent.

Blair, are you hand steering, or do you use a tie rod? I find the tie rod works better, a bit of tension on the pivot tube is good as well.

Austin, If you decide on a CDory, I recommend putting a Permatrim plate on the motor(s if twins). They do a great job of bringing the bow down to deal with chop. Good luck in your decision and search. Steve

Howdy Duke, Why not pick one of the large costal lakes to get used to the boat... Ten Mile might be a good start. The Columbia is good, but be careful if you anchor. If you get the rode wrapped around your lower unit, you could be pulled under by the current. You could launch in the Astoria...

Same for a photo hosted on another site, like the NMI photo gallery. Bring up the image, right click, select copy image location/address. Then put that address between the img button bookends.

Get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? I get what you’re saying, but I suspect most of us with diesel trucks don’t leave them running in parking lots.
