clearance from prop to boat ramp

With our 22’ and Suzuki 115, we have at least 8” of clearance from the skeg to ground. I retrieve and travel with the motor down, which is Suzuki’s recommendation (or a transom saver). Our trailer is a tandem axle E Z Loader bunk model.

    Anchoring/Mooring - HELP!

Check in with Mark (use name Marco Flamingo). He devised a very slick way to anchor his 16.

    Electrical 1/2/all switch

If you use all/both with your battery switch, there is a chance a bad cell on one battery could pull the good battery down.

Leaving this morning (hopefully), planning on launching Monday morning. I’d like to spend Sunday night at the BF campground to finish loading the last bit of stuff on to the boat. Still not sure of our travel route.

Getting ready to purchase a 25' cruiser

My 2¢ worth, I would look for one with a 200, or a boat that needs repowering. If you want that fast cruise when heavily loaded, you’re going to need the extra HP, in particular if you’re at altitude. You don’t always need to use all the ponies, but it’s nice to have when you need it (like...

    Lake Powell Fuel and Camping

I did the first time we boated LP, but have been told the concessionaire security folks will make you move. I’ve also been told the NPS doesn’t care. It would be worth a call to the HQ to find out the truth.

    09/22 to 09/23 - Lake Powell 2018

Colby, it’s up lake about 10 miles from Bullfrog/Halls. Put Annie’s Canyon on your list, too. There is a great alcove in one of the arms that you can boat into. Kill the engine, drift and swim. It’s about mile 84.

Colby, we have 10 boats signed up, and there are occasionally last minute folks pop in. We are probably going to be about two days ahead of you. Typically some members of the group do a trip up the Escalante and San Juan rivers, and to Forgotten Canyon to see Defiance House. Fuel shouldn’t...

SO WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OR ON YOUR C-DORY TODAY??

I finally got tired of not hearing radio transmissions, and installed an external VHF speaker today. Neither radio had a jack, so I had to hardwire it in. The trailer got four new ST 205/75 R14 Goodyear Endurance (Made in USA) load range D tires this morning. Max pressure 65 PSI, for a load...
