    Vehicle to tow a 22' Cruiser

    I used to tow the tomcat with a 89' chevy 3500 duely. It had plenty of power (454 gas guzzler), but it was rear wheel drive with an open differential. I got stuck on launch ramps multiple times. From now on i'm 4x4 guy.

    The maritime industry is also a big fan of simple methods like this. I've been meaning to buy a wood dowel to notch and use for this purpose. My analog gauges work fine, but my honda digital display says full when full and shows empty after about an hour of running on a full tank.

    New lower unit question

    The oil will give you indications of needing to tare down machinery to repair a failed seal. For example if at the 20 hr mark your lower unit oil is milky or there is water in the drain pan, this would indicate a bad seal from the factory.

    I've never had this happen on mine. I'm curious on the integrity of your fill and vent hoses to you tanks. When you're fueling close all your doors and windows to ensure no vapors are drifting in.

    How I do it; I spray painted the line red at 50', two red sections at 100', 3 red sections at 150', and so on. Works great.
