    07/26 - 07/28 - La Connor Gathering

I would much rather spend the time at Spencer's Spit than sit in the current at LaConner. Nice enough town but there is so much more in the San Juans.

    Wind, thunder at Fossil Bay

Robbin and I were able to get out on the boat for a few days last week. We tied up to a mooring buoy in the late morning in Fossin Bay last Tuesday for a few days. The marine weather was for small craft early evening but we thought we were tucked away for the night no matter what happened. Well...

    VHF blowing fuse when transmitting

Bob, I will try a bigger fuse. The radio has been working for 7 years with not problems. I was wondering, it has a device that allows the AM/FM radio to share the antenna when not transmitting. I believe it shunts the radio when you transmit. Could this be the culprit?

    VHF blowing fuse when transmitting

I kept blowing the 3 amp main fuse when I try to transmit on my VHF radio. When I replaced it at the dock it worked even at 25 watts. When we were underway it immediately blew again. I checked to make sure the antenna plug was tight. What would be a good way to check that it was either the...

I finally am back in town. I talked to the harbor master and they are excited about having us this weekend. You will tie up on the west side of dock #9. There will be plenty of room for everyone with some electrical hook ups. I will be arriving sometime before noon and will be around to greet...

    04/06 - 04/08 - Fisherman's Terminal

Robbin and I should be at Fisherman's Terminal late morning on the 6th. For those arriving we have the whole west side of the far west dock, around 550ft. There is no assigned berths so you can berth anywhere on the dock. The plans for the weekend include dinner at Chinooks Friday night...

    2005 C-dory 25 Gas tank question

Very sorry to hear this news David. I had the same issue back in 08. I started to get fuel in the low points of the bilge. I checked all the hoses, pickups, vents, filters but everything was tight. I took it in to the factory (Fluid) and they opened the deck up and made all the checks including...

    04/06 - 04/08 - Fisherman's Terminal

I have finalized the date for the gathering. We will have 550' of dock space with some electrical hookups. We will also have a room set aside Saturday afternoon for the potluck. I was hoping to have dinner at Chinook's Friday night for those who show up on Friday. There also is a breakfast cafe...
